They did this LIVE at the May 28th show at Manitowoc WI. It was a thrill.....Imagine doing that song in front of a live audience.... they made no mistakes that I heard. Marcia G was there and posted it the next day. You two should go watch it and see how they did it live; how they interacted with the audience. Keep in mind this was recorded on a phone so you can imagine how intense it was in person.

My favorite line from a reactor about this was 'How the hell do you have an a capella group and the only solo is the vocal percussionist?' LOL But it's true. They ALL did spectacular on this but ADAM KILLED IT!!! This spotlighted him almost as much as his drum solos

I'm afraid I'm yet again going to be enthusiastic. These guys make my life fun and happy and go straight to my heart. I freaking love this song. They nailed the rapid fire cadence of the lyrics and sounded fantastic doing it. Mr. Adam Henry Rupp! He hit the rev limiter in this. Art is subjective, for sure, but he went next level, world class. His performances are electrifying, exciting and creative in my opinion.

Adam Rupp keeps getting better. On the newest release, Listen to the Music, Adam adds some super high background vocals. Also, Chance said he is super excited about the next release at the end of the month. Home Free has been teasing that video on Instagram with Austin and Rob in full makeup and costumes. We haven't gotten a peek at the other three guys yet.

So glad y’all reacted to this one! It was worth the wait, too! Home Free blew me away with this one! I don’t know how Adam beatboxed with that rapid fire tempo, but he killed it! That harmonica was amazing! Also, the guys singing those long and rapid verses in one breath (it seemed like it) was crazy. I saw someone’s concert footage with them singing this one. After the second verse with Tim and Austin and they slid up the scale at the end, they looked at each other and nodded (and looked a little winded. Lol). Kudos to them! This is one of those new top favorites. It’s a great cover!

Oooooh, child, the places Home Free will take you! They touch on a variety of genres in their "Butts Mix", they do Motown choreography covering "Blue Ain't Your Color", and they trade vocal ranges in "Mayday". Adam Rupp has been described as a freak of nature, as he doesn't just beat box, it's been said he's swallowed an entire chest of instruments. While Tim Foust has a five-octave range, Chance covers bass as well, when Tim takes lead. In my book, there are three major leage a capella groups, each with their own characteristics: Pentatonix is the group you introduce to your parents; VoicePlay is your live theatre/movie group; and Home Free are the guys hosting a tailgate party in the parking lot.

You don't have to redeem yourself. Almost everyone who hears Man of Constant Sorrow for the first time assumes it's Adam doing the mouth harp what with layering in production and all. That's how he does the harmonica and beat boxing at the same time. But you'd know that better than I would.

You should check out Home Free doing this live. I've seen their show twice this summer & the live version is phenomenal, I'm pretty sure someone recorded a video of them on 6/4/22 in Cincinnati, I definitely recommend reacting to it when you have a chance.
