@@k.an.ne.s3844 yes its a very long storied history, and oh so much art and great saints in the roman catholic church, France is often called the eldest daughter of the church, but I lament what has happened to France, by the powers that be, especially the fire at Notre Dame in Paris, for nearly 1000 years that place is the heart and soul of France, and the rebuilt will make the outside back to its former glory, but the inside will be more like a museum, then the sublime church it was before the fire :{ it would be like us loosing liberty hall in Philly or the capital in dc and if it wasn't for the French we never would have got our independence from England in the revolution, nor the statue of liberty, and there were many great works of art that came from there, no would we have the work that made steam engines even more efficent from Andre' Champlan, who taught and mentored Livio Dante Porta who, proved how powerful and low maintenance steam locos could be if you applied science and good careful engineering, as well as what hard work in your way of life can do, he was as kind as he was bright as a mechanical engineer, according to someone I know that was very good friends with him. American here currently learning German with a passing interest in Linguistics. I think the reasons some Americans are confusing your accent with a German one are the similarities in some French and German vowel sounds and the pronunciation of "th" sounds. For instance, why you say "the," it is pronounced "zee." That is the cornerstone of the American stereotype of the German accent, despite it being pretty rare for Germans to utilize that pronunciation (source: German friend group). However, the way you pronounce (or don't) the letter "h" is a dead give away for the French accent. Just some untrained observations on my part, so take them with a grain of salt.

Just like you, when I was a child i knew that certain sounds / triggers would create that feeling. Having grown up as a child when Bob Ross was in his prime time on TV, i knew that watching his painting videos were also triggering. However I didn't know what that feeling was called until a couple years ago. It was a random youtube algorithm that put Maria's original towel folding video in front of me and since then it's the majority of content I watch. You have great taste, naming several of my favorite asmr's artists. If I may make a request: I would really enjoy your version & style of a Bob Ross type of video. Maybe even add a historical / time element to it (ie early french painter, painting on canvas or something). I am looking forward to your sketch video.

Loved learning more about you and your channel. And thank you for the shoutout in the video description! That's very kind of you. I'm happy to see your success and I'm excited to see what you're able to do with a larger audience. I've always been very sensitive to sound, even as a child. When I was a baby my mom said there was a song she would play when I couldn't fall asleep and it would immediately calm me down. As I got older I was all about the slow tv type of shows like Bob Ross and another one where a guy made wooden furniture using old hand tools. I didn't realize this was an asmr or unintentional asmr thing until around 2017 when I started seeing asmr videos popping up all over youtube. At the time I was making purely nature videos but, like you mentioned in your video, I started taking inspiration from ASMR channels and I began discovering ambience videos. It's a funny gray area between nature and ASMR and I'm still figuring out where my channel sits on that spectrum. Thanks again for the Q&A!

I got into ASMR because of how loud my workplace was. I had to use headphones but listening to music 8 hours per day ended up being too much for my brain, I started getting headaches. So I had this idea of searching for ambience soundscapes, I needed something that seemed quite but still blocked out the noise from all my coworkers. I've always loved sound design, and I came across a video about "studying at Hogwarts", full of writing and page turning sounds, and a distance fireplace. It was perfect! So the ASMR I'm into is more about ambience. I've found you through a video about writting a letter. I was only going to listen but the cinematics were so beautiful... That now I watch your videos, and they make me feel very cozy, safe and relaxed. They also inspired me to go back to filmaking, so thank you! Your work is amazing. I don't really get tingles like most people in the community, but I love this kind of videos nonetheless.

I found ASMR a few years ago when I had a terrible boss and needed a way to relax and take my mind off work. I started by watching Japanese tea ceremonies on KZbin. Ting Ting has a tea ceremony video, so the algorithm put her in my suggested videos. I’ve always found graceful hand movements wonderfully restful, so channels like yours that focus on hands are my favorites. (I watched all of Ting Ting’s apothecary videos, too!)

Ah, you're French ! I was quite curious about your accent, but even as a French guy myself, I couldn't figure it out. I would have guessed German or northern part of Europe. Bonne continuation :)

You seem like such a warm a lovely person listening to you is a delight! My ASMR journey began with an unboxing video for a board game, the gentleman's voice was so soothing and kind I was mesmerized. I watched the video over and over without ever knowing why it was so enjoyable. After searching for unboxing videos soothing voice I came over the term ASMR and here we are 😁

When you said ASMR Story I lit up, because people’s stories are always so wonderful! I remember mine vividly. I experienced it as a kid, too! The pastor at our church was super softly spoken, really eloquent and sweet, and during the sermons, my Nonna always traced her nails up and down my arms to relax me and keep me occupied so I didn’t get stir crazy. It was utter heaven for me, just the mixture of the pastor’s dulcet voice and my Nonna’s touch. It was never out of the question for me to fall asleep during sermons. She still does this when I visit her, and it still works! It’s always so much fun to share these stories! 😌 Also we have the same tapestry! 😄

Wow, you are very special. You are so humble, yet so talented. It’s rare to find such a beautiful amazing asmr artist who is not glaringly self-focused and superficial. You are such an inspiration :) Thank you!
