I have been running though some detailed calibrations of this printer and decided to change/test some different belt tensions. I am currently using GT3 9MM belts. The registration drive spec for tension is 17lbs * 1.5-2.0. This is 25.5-34lbs. I am getting VFA's from 100-150mms and I cannot seem to get rid of them. My thoughts are the 2504 motors or some bad rails from too many benchies. ha ha ha.
Anyway, feels good to blow some steam off and let it rip to see how bad it is.
Not a good print with the bridges. Should have slowed that down to get a better top and other.
This is ABS, 450mms, 40K acceleration. 50 square corner/Jerk all but external perimeters @ 450mms, 30K, 50SCV.
0.010 PA @ .02 Smooth time all areas.
Using the new MPC loop heating control for extrusion temperature. I think it's a great idea! Thank you whoever participated!
There is some VFA when it changes through the 100-150mms, but hard to see. I may try some other motors and considering going belt drive so I can move the VFA around with gear ratio change.
320x320x400 print volume, cross gantry, 1PZ Z system, Goliath hotend w/VZhextrudort extruder twirl gears. 48V drivers on 5160's for XYZE. Z is 24V running on Octopus Pro v1.1 w/723 MCU.
