East Prussia was first "liberated" from the nazis, but came under Polish and Soviet " Verwaltung " after WW2. During 1990 the Oder-Neisse line was declared the official border of reunited Germany.

The first German town "liberated" by the Red Army in 1945 against the will of its population, who fought to death trying to avoid it.

Потому что клялись своей жизнью лично Фюреру. Нормальные республиканцы находили это безумным.

There's nothing to suggest that the German population "fought to death trying to avoid it." By 1945, most Germans were sick of war, and nearly 4,000,000 Wehrmacht soldiers were dead so they could fulfill Hitler's sick fantasy of conquering all of Europe. Unless you're talking about the Volkssturm? Where the Nazi regime threw waves of old pensioners and teenagers into machine gun fire to delay the Red Army?
