Dear Father Warner thank you for your teaching today. I know it must be challenging to prepare your teachings. They always inspire me and you are somehow able to understand our human frailties. You help us to realize the importance of fortifying our faith in God through fasting and prayer. Nowadays people are so into their creature comforts and material needs and we should remember that these pursuits are fleeting.

Dear Fr Warner appreciate your Christmas talks which always have a message for us. The first reading teaches us that doing God's will is more important than worldly desires. It's true that all our possessions will ultimately go to someone else who may not even care for it. In the gospel we learn of the prophetess Anna who served God night & day with fasting & prayer. Her fasting is linked to the first reading because Anna said no to the world - she was detached from material things. We are called to focus on the Father who is constant instead of the world which is transitory. God bless you always. Have a safe journey. 🙏🏻💞

Thank you Fr Warner for all your wonderful teachings. I was happy you highlighted about Anna being a prophetess. I got to know more about her from reading and listening to the Mystical City of God. I know it is private revelation, but it helped to give me further insight to what was happening with regard to Simeon and Anna when they expressed their joy after seeing Jesus as a baby. Wishing all of God's blessings on you and your ministry for this Christmas season, the new year and always.

Thank you Fr. Warner for your reflection. There are couple of thoughts. While you reflected on gospel reading, I was reminded of my aunt , elderly widow, staying alone with her ailments. She is full of prayers and word of God and encouraging whenever we call her. I was broken because of my child and she came to know and prayed and cont. praying with urgency. She was intercessor and knew root was spiritual issues. Second. I got reading of 1 Sam 1:20-28. Verse 28 struck me, Hannah dedicated Samuel to the Lord and then worshipped Him. Before we Worship, we offer everything, our close ones, family, poccession, wants and desires to the Lord. This same thread also flows to both the todays reading. Brgds

It is true that we cannot serve two Masters at the same time. We need to discern the Will of God and the Plan of God Material possessions are ephemeral unlike the spiritual things. We are told explicitly that Anna was A Prophetess. Opportunity meeting Preparation was what helped Anna to see the Child Jesus. We all have bad days as well as good days.God is Our Protector and looks after everyone. I like your stress on the need to be optimistic and not get into the habit of envying others. Your attitude towards fasting is greatly appreciated Prayers are a gift, given to us and helps us to knock on God's Door May God grant you a safe and speedy flight. Thanks a million for your appreciation of my comments God bless you and protect you always 🙏 Fr.Warner
