That looks amazing. The ONLY thing I would have liked to see was the girder on the side to not be blocked with the blocked used as the spacers in the legs. That way if you run conduit along the girder, you can go right into the legs, instead of around them having to bend it, or cut through the spacer. Would make for a lot easier way to run wiring and lines as well as any wall finishing that maybe done.

Thanx for all the videos. I will be needing a building in Kaufman county (date undetermined) however I would like to get an idea the cost of a building very similar to the one in this video except 55' long. The pad area will be laid out with 4 corners, level with select fill spread evenly with plumbing rough in completed. I will be building living quarters inside. It will be a guest quarters on my granddaughters' property. Explicit details will be provided later. I realize the final cost won't be settled until all other details will be provided but I just want a starting price for comparison with other builders. Jim Y.

Due to it being living quarters the risk category on the building will need to be assessed. We do not building in Florida and would not be of much assistance when it comes to understanding those wind ratings. Our buildings here can be engineered to withstand the local codes. Some go up to 140 in the Houston, Texas area.

I want to know how well a 40x60 building will handle a cat 5 hurricane….

With engineering, we can build it to handle a cat 5 hurricane. As far as cost, it might not be budget friendly. All construction gets built to local codes and for the risk category that project is constructed for. A 40x60 storage use building is constructed differently than a 40x60 church building. Two different risk categories yet same 40x60. I hope this answers your question.
