I’m always really happy to get out on the trail... but I’m also always happy to get back to the car and get a big ol’ cheeseburger. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Atlas918 - Thanks for watching. And post hike meals are always the best. After this trip though it was hard for me to eat until the following afternoon. Ha

Looked like a tough one! Loved to hear you rocking the Avetts, even though it was a sad song. Those tough trips are the ones that you'll remember down the road. For better or worse. :)

Mountain Wanderer - Thanks man, the Avetts are always great for some trail music. And I still talk about this trip every time my bud Riley and I go backpacking now. Ha

Love to solo the art loeb, usually head out to flower gap and camp, then chill out at shining rock for a bit. Good to clear the mind.

Cool video! Thanks for sharing. I've been on the Art Loeb a few times- it's a great trail to get your feet wet into backpacking, convenient to towns and a good variety of terrain.

Just watched this again for the first time since my Art Loeb hike last month, we almost had identical trips from camp sites, breaks and water refills! You did a really good job of capturing the pain of Art Loeb! The walk back to the car once you get down to the river feels never ending, we nicknamed it purgatory.

Not gonna lie, I almost cried when I saw the end in site. Ha
