I called your number 1 before the video even started lol but all in all great list I've never seen most of these movie's if I can be honest but I 100% agree with you about man of steel. That is the only super hero movie that has ever captivated me and had me in pure awe the story the action everything from start to finish that movie had me locked in and thats why I think I prefer DC over marvel. I agree with most of the thoughts regarding BvS and I still think it should've been slightly higher. Idk, I just really liked the way every thread came together in it. Superman's dilema regarding wether he feels he's doing right by the world or not, Batman loosing himself to his own rage, Lex meticulously employing every single contact in his arsenal to build a narrative that would justify going to the extreme of killing Superman just out of his traumas dealing with power abuse... those are very interesting, even poignant concepts that cross paths so organically, I just have to admire the ambition and the execution, which is very rarely seen in comic book movies designed to be crowd pleasers. Where the film to me steps into overcrowded territory is in its sequel baiting. Those moments where scenes just happen for the sake of teasing other movies like the Knightmare sequence, or the time spent following Wonder Woman just to have her watch JL trailers through her mail, felt forced. Lois' role in the third act was also, like you said, very sloppy. I also would've liked it if the writing didn't feel so heavy handed when it comes to its thematic play, but to me the good outweights the bad enough to prevent it from getting in the way of my enjoyment.

I'm super bummed because I saw a 10:30 pm showing of Avengers: Endgame in a smaller town, and man was the audience not as exciting as I've seen on KZbin videos. Even when Cap summoned Mjölnir, the theater was barely loud.

I really disagree with a ton of your opinions( MoS over them all??,) but you always bring it on the creative side. I love Marvel and I like some DCEU projects and hearing a fan like this with a bunch of other fans is always almost as enjoyable as the movies themselves. Congrats on the wedding thing!

Captain Marvel is super underrated. Outside of the lighting I love this story, love the new characters like Ben Mendehlson who steals the show and his chemistry with Samuel L Jackson who's also great is amazing and it feels like a buddy cop film. I have a lot of love for Jude Law as an actor and I have yet to find a film where he gives a bad performance kind of like Ethan Hawke both of those guys are always solid and never phone it in and I can appreciate that. Annette Bening is underutilized but with the time she's given she makes the most of it. I also like Monica and seeing a young agent Coulson is great as well even with little screentime. I guess what could knock this movie is Brie Larsons Captain Marvel is the weakest aspect and overall character in her own film. I don't necessarily blame Brie for that which it seems a lot of people do but I think it's more what Marvel and the director and writer chose to do with the character. But as a movie I don't think it deserves the hate it gets. There are far worse Marvel films that came before it and even most recently. I wouldn't put Captain Marvel anywhere near a top 10 or top anything but I definitely wouldn't put it anywhere near the bottom. I think if Captain Marvel was more likeable and not overshadowed in her own film it would be better received. But not liking the character of Captain Marvel doesn't kill the movie for me or make me not like it. It has more than enough around it to make it just an enjoyable fun flick.
