A lot of people don't stop to consider just how harmful this kind of behavior really is - for example how it can compromise readiness and cohesion in the military. There already is a disproportunate number of women in the military who get pregnant, by design or otherwise. This is an extra cost in more ways than one if they are unplanned or not wanted. This is just one example.
