They can break the law with impunity and even if their crimes are caught on video, they are quietly allowed to walk away after a lengthy paid vacation. They openly collaborate with domestic terrorists and provocateurs, seeing their role at BLM protests as political ignoring their job which is to protect the public. If you are working with militias and vigilantes to make sure there is as much violence, vandalism, arson and chaos as possible to blame on the protest or antifa when you offer propaganda instead of answers when talking to the media. They left the capitol unguarded on Jan 6 with only a skeleton crew of police who aren't part of the blue brotherhood left to be killed by a violent coup they knew was planned and they wanted it to succeed. I just rewatched Newsroom (Aaron Sorkin, 2012), and a season 1 episode had a tirade about Ginny Thomas getting paid hundreds of thousands by the Koch brothers' "Heritage Fund" - and how Charence Thomas should have recused himself from the Citizen's United case because of this. It was well known enough for a TV show to write about it 10 years ago! Citizen United won by one vote.

Relying on norms never work. Just make it illegal for anyone to gift more than $500 to any SCOTUS Justice. If you sit on the highest court of the land, then even your own mother should not be able to throw you a party worth more than the limit.

Why is Thomas not being suspended till things are sorted out? The evidence of criminal actions is overwhelming. I mean, Thomas is a member of SCOTUS, not some regular guy. His wife being involved in the scandal(s) makes it even worse. For both of them. What a lovely, corrupt couple.
