As an owner of a Datsun 240z restomod I can tell you this car always gets tons of attention. It is appreciated by every category of people, young, old, bikers, truckers, hot rodders as well as every ethnic group. Even get "thumbs up" from people in Ferrari's, Bentley"s and Aston Martin's. Truly a classic car.

I had a red 1971 I purchased from original owner in 1977. Paid $2,500. Got it from a girl who weighed about 110 Lb. Seats were perfect and all interior was perfect. Dealer had added a factory air. Wish I still had it:)

imagrandpa I think we’ve all owned that one car.

I have an S30 I've had for over 20 years and am the 2nd owner of. It's a 280Z with EFI. Original engine and manual transmission. So many parts are original and still operate well like the alternator, radiator, distributor, coil, ECU, fuel injectors, heads, intake. The valve cover gasket is 44 years old and is as good as the day it was installed. Fully maintained, has a gently modified suspension and 6-1 headers 2.5" to a 3-chamber Flowmaster, otherwise it's bone stock. It could use new weatherstripping, window tint is purply/bubbled, has a few small body issues but it's fun to drive and get smiled and honked at, or thumbs upped by people on the road. It's hard to even get out of the gas station without someone wanting ot talk to me lol

Got real for Datsun owners with this car. I say it's a long time coming, but with mixed feelings that time is actually here. Accessible performance is what drew me to *Datsun* decades ago, so while it's gratifying to see them finally getting the attention they deserve, it's bitter sweet seeing them move into the bean counter status of "Collector Cars".

That price is absurd, but it's nice to see an original example. A lot of those cars were butchered with flared fenders and wings. Chip Foose ruined a lot of classic cars.
@ExecutiveAutomotiveSociety3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, but people still say some of this car wasn't "original." I don't know enough about it to be an expert, but I can appreciate a well done example.

They even put new tires on the car 🤯🤯 I'm sure that's why it sold for so much 🙃
@4.8Flatbed4 жыл бұрын
We put tires on it that would be on the car from that era, the tires that were on it were new.

@@4.8Flatbed you were the one that ordered them for this Z? where did you buy them? i’m looking for old tread design tires.

I had the exact same car 1971 "British Green" (original color no. 907) same brown interior. Minus the white strips below the doors (not sure they are original). Serial number was HSL 25 337. Had keep the car for 15 years. Still have the original color driver book that came with the car in the glove box. If you are interest to buy it let me know. I will sell it for only $ 25 000 AH HA. The car is not complete without that.

This seems like a scam. Steve McQueen could have owned this car and it would not be worth 300k.

that's just wrong & insane you know how much the dealer got than car for less than 50 grand i bet i heard the story of original owner and how dealer got it, there's profit then there is just robbery & greed can only image the cost of his other cars

missing Link right! Why do all the expensive and valuable ones have all the odd duck colors?
@TigerRogers06604 жыл бұрын
I like the "other" interior colours! Mine was black interior (as were about 90% of them). The paint colour was orange. The all black interior was too much! The other colours were a breath of fresh air. Butterscotch (the car above), White, Red, Metallic Blue & the very rare Cream.
