Jake: Just back in from helping William put up four Tiny Homes,or Cabins. I did have some help, from two of Carl's people. I had already trained. I'm looking forward to the day when Tesla puts a batter in a 32" chainsaw. So you could listen to Judas Priest while cutting 16" rounds. The really big one , would be Mike Morgan with a Tesla Excavator, Tractors, Skid-Steer Loaders, an so on. To end, can't wait to see the new & improve elevator in action.

Nice review Jake. I had to laugh when I watched (not a funny laugh), because the exact same thing happened on my 3rd or 5th video cuttings big oak rounds with the 572 xp. Second cut and I wrecked the chain. Tried one more cut with the same results and reaction that you had. Take a look if you get a chance. I had to chuckle because it was the same scenario.

The throttle response is instant definitely quicker than other carburetorated saws, might have swayed me from the 462R. I only hit nails, bullets and steel BBs in Ash I swear. I can cut down an old maple on a former fence row and won't hit anything. Ash in the middle of the woods zing there is the steel. I don't know what it is.

Up until now, there has been 2 honorary chainsaw clubs--the high 'em club (when you get a tree hung up while felling) and the stick saw club (when you pitch your bar and get stuck). Now there's another honorary club--the metal detector club.

500i is a great saw. Love mine although it sets second chair behind my 400. Something about that 400 I just really love. Do you have the Rode wireless mic? I found if I’m talking it’s great, but when I run loud equipment (chainsaws/log splitter) I take it off and set it 20 or 30 feet away other wise it’s really distorted. Isn’t metal great?
@DudeRanchDIY
@DudeRanchDIY Жыл бұрын
No I don’t use the Rode, something similar. I think the mode I had it in just distorted the sound. When I had it in the regular mode with tractor running it sounded fine 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hello, no need to look at the teeth if you hit a nail or wire, at 10000 rpm's that is about 166 rev's per second, in a 2 second ''OH shite'' situation that was 333 rev's , be confident that you hit every last tooth. sad to see that on a new chain, but that is why we buy files and grinders. good vid.

Yep I could've bought a less powerful used saw, but at the end of the day if I buy a used 462 for $800 I have no clue how it may (or may not have) been maintained. Could last years, could blow up the following week. Not really worth the risk for me considering I do tree work for a living. I'd rather pay the money, the saw will make me that 10x over the course of its life between tree work and firewood.
