Very cool to see you guys discussing my email! I could have talked about my ideas for minecraft for a long time, so excuse the long email! I'll keep it short next time! Small point on the difference between a landscape architect and a landscaper/gardener, a landscape architect designs the public space, so parks, streets, squares, etc. and usually has municipalities as clients. A landscaper/gardener will have regular people as clients and will work more small scale.

Garlic IS an Allium! White Pumpkins would be my #1 request for addition - sure people will whinge about "uuuhh it's lazy just retextured pumpkin!" but - so what? I'd like to see it like Frogs, grow pumpkin seeds in the Pale Garden and they end up white. That would definitely give people a reason to go to the biome! What if they gave us a new seed for Sniffers to find in the Pale Garden? Minecraft has the option to make biomes only appear on hills - Meadow for example - seems to me that the reverse would be ideal for Pale Garden, if it only appeared in valleys, enclosed. I would definitely like to see more "garden" in the Pale Garden. Minecraft difficulty - I'm currently playing a Bedrock realm with some friends, one's very new to the game and dying all the time. Another played 5 years ago and has come back to the game and it's changed so much! We got Keepinv on and the sacrifice of no achievements is worth it for them - it just wouldn't be worth playing anything above early game survival without it, stuck in the grind of getting levels to enchant yet another set of gear. A gravestone system would be perfect though - finding where you died can still be a challenge, falling into the void still loses everything, it's not making it EASY but takes out the tedious grind of making new gear yet again... But the complexity of the modern game is the actual difficulty. My friend who's coming back to the game is finding it overwhelming that there's so many new mechanics to learn, so many new adventures and opportunities. meanwhile I'm so used to Java servers I'm just swearing at Bedrock for being weird!

I love the suggestion of Pale Gardens only being in valleys. Maybe they could be a larger type of ravine that, rather than being deep, is large and dark.

SHAME PLANTS MENTIONED! here in the philippines we call them 'makahiya'. always fun to find them in the wild because of it's interactive nature:)

I liked the idea of different plants and foliage in the new biome. I was thinking it might be interesting to have the sniffer provide the seeds for new plants. And to make the sniffer's provide different seeds based upon biome instead of just a random drop.

A little late to commenting, but to Pix's point about changing difficulty in more interesting ways for a sandbox, there have ALWAYS been oddities to the difficulties. Why can villagers only be zombified 100% of the time on hard mode? Surely it's more difficult for the player if there's a chance their villagers just die in the process, right? Villager zombification being locked behind the hard difficulty has always been a mystery to me.

I think MC already got easier when the lighting engine changed. Now the nights and caves aren't all that scary which also makes them easier to deal with. I still remember when i tried 404 challenge back in the day. It was difficult and scary mostly due to the darkness. Obviously hunger system also had a massive impact.

what that realy did was making the game less laggy wich in return made it easier to play for a lot of people :P

Prior to the change, putting "keep inventory" on bedrock would disable achievements and is also found under the CHEATS tab. As such this allows the younger players to feel they are still proceeding and not cheating. Given its a sandbox game nothing should be labelled cheats in my opinion. The toggle will still be there to turn this off and it's only up until easy.

Funny that your podcast first was shown to me on youtube a few days before you apeared on imp&skizz. Even tho i consume so much minecraft content that overlaps with what you do, including the HC recap. The Algorythm is strange sometimes.

Keep Inventory should be moved out of the "Cheat" section for Bedrock. I can't think of any achievements that benefit from the player being able to keep their inventory. Players being able to switch from Hard to Peaceful is more of a cheat than Keep Inventory will ever be. Mojang should let all players decide if that's option they want. Not everybody who plays on Easy or Peaceful mode might want it on by default with no ability to turn it off without enabling cheats, which would then disable Achievements.
