What happy times you made, it was wonderful travelling to France with you,sharing your Christmas prep and celebrations with the grandparents, hearing your memories of Ted arriving, but also sharing the sadness of Kate passing. Thankyou for sharing vlogmas with us Gaynor. I have loved watching you and your family. Christmas has been hard physically and mentally this year as i am caring for my husband 51 who has advanced dementia. I tried to make the festive season as accessible for him amd allow him time with the family but it was hard work. I dont begrudge that time and effort at all because he is an amazing man x your vlogmas was just lovely and made me appreciate him and the time we have had together, so ty. I look forward to following you in the new year and to try to improve my knitting skills. I have never knit with hand dyed yarn so that is going to be on my list for 2020. Xx once again ty x

This has been a really hard year for me with loosing several special people but people like you and your honesty, love for people and life, and sense of humour have helped me so much. Gayna, I happened upon your vlog (or podcasts) in early December and am finally getting around to leaving you a comment. Dear Gayna thank you so much for your wonderful Christmas Vlogs I enjoyed every one of them so much. It is really treu that you miss those special people the most in December with Christmas and when the New Year comes it's just another year that they cannot be with you. But such a beautiful year we will make out of this one, I hope. My oldest daughter is called Kate. My youngest daughter Amy Eileen died a few hours before giving birth, 5 years ago. So I never got to really know her. This year is the first year I can really enjoy all the festivities again, and your vlogs helped me with that as well. My husband and I also married on the 29 December. So since the last month I really felt watching you was getting together with one of my girls. Going through the rough as well as this beautiful life together. Thank you again and again.

I remember when we were small, my sister and I, our father put a metal ring in the door frame, and the 4 of us, mother included, had a section each, of the macrame basket, and we made a fabulous plant hanger. Dad was a leather craftsmen, and a saddler,, so he was into all sorts of crafts. There enjoyable to make 🤔💕

Tales from Cuckoo Land OMG Gayna! That’s it! I was born in Wincanton and lived there until we moved to Gloucestershire with my husbands job. I lived first in Balsam park and then Southgate Drive. My husband and I then bought one of the big Edwardian terraced houses at the top of the High Street. I still have relatives and friends in Wincanton. I now have retired on the Isle of Man.

Also, I know your house, well the houses all along between the church and Common Road and the smaller ones on the other side because I grew up in the cottage up the alley behind the Chiropractor.

Tales from Cuckoo Land yes I did! My friend lived in one of the cottages by the chiropractor! This is so strange Gayna as soon as I started watching I thought I knew you! I am obviously older than you so I don’t think it would have been in a social connection! I was involved with the Brownies and Guide movement in Wincanton and also did supply work for King Arthur’s school where one of my daughters attended!

It’s the Thursday before Good Friday, it commemorates the Last Supper and also the washing of feet ritual that Jesus carried out for his disciples. I don’t know why in old wives tales this means we shouldn’t do our washing though!
