This video explains how the Netherlands saved their country from the country by building a 32-kilometer lengthy sea wall in the middle of the sea. Netherland, a once poor, flood-affected country is now the second largest producer of food products and no big sea flood has affected the country in the last 90 years. This has become possible because of the long sea wall.
After successfully building the sea wall, the country has created new land masses in various places belonging to it & has started agricultural production in it. Because of the wall, they have also created a new freshwater lake, Ijsselmeer, which helps the country very much in its agricultural production. But the thing is ecologists & environmentalists across the world are against the sea wall because of its bad effects on the livestock depending on the sea. But Netherland has built the wall by taking this into account and has implemented many new techniques to avoid all those things.
One of them is the Fish migration system, where they have created an opening in the sea wall, to let the fish that migrate which need both seawater & freshwater for their migration. Also, they have discharge sluice gates, & flood gates to prevent over-flooding near the shore & wall in times of bigger rains.
