2:40 Saying Scoop wrote at an 8th grade level is way too complimentary. At best, his writing was 5th grade tops. People thought I was being petty when I'd often critique his articles in SLAM . I'll admit this, the covers of SLAM were great. It's a great time capsule if you want to see the "baggy" era of fashion. I believe SLAM had the first pictured "jersey" exchange. There was a cover off the top of my head featuring Jalen Rose, Javon Kerse and a couple others each wearing each others jersey. Back to Scoop, his writing wasn't just elementary, it was awful. I considered it pandering to a certain demographic but many didn't care.
