Also in DMC you aren’t forced to use everything, you can just use Rebellion and sword master and do just fine, or anything for that matter, but using everything makes the game more fun. Also spider mans combat is also not deeper than DMC dude. It’s fun and well made, but let’s be real here

Tip for higher difficulties: When overwhelmed by an absurd about of enemies, always go for air combat. It helps with avoiding most damage and allows you to build finishers up to continue the process so you can focus on brutes and special enemies left on the ground.

@@Astraldymensions I would probably say either DmC or DMC3. Since the style system wasn't fully fleshed out until DMC4 nor did DmC have it's own mini-system. DmC works with different weapons, gadgets in this game work similarly. With some you can even do juggles like the anti-grav EMP, or normal webs. DMC3 also had limited aerial combos and relied mainly on a style for extra hits, alongside DT and weapons. Base Dante with just his rebellion or something, would be the equivalent of SpPS4 with the priority being hit cancelling into separate combos or continuing hits.

Had a blast figuring out DMC3 mechanics and looking forward to playing 4 and 5 as well as DmC. Figuring out Virgil has been a bit tougher but still lots of fun. Just wish it wasnt the same exact levels and enemies on his run

I'd love Insomniac to add some kind of Challenge mode like the Arkham games so players could attempt even higher combos as well as attempt harder objectives. Maybe they could add extra costume unlocks for reaching certain benchmarks to encourage players to keep on swinging even after getting 100% in the game. This game’s combat system is VERY generous compared to the Arkham games. You can go quite a while without attacking anyone and not have the counter reset. And you can also hit the attack button multiple times without hitting anyone and still not have the counter reset. That shit would NEVER fly in the Arkham games.
