I’m not sure if there’s a perfect sailboat. But, I think this is as close as can be found! Probably my favorite production sailboat that I’m currently aware of. Heavy enough for comfort. Fast enough (from what I’ve heard) to not feel sluggish. I’d add a davit for solar panels as much as a tender. Add a water maker and I’d disappear for awhile. 🤓 thank you so much much for sharing this. Greetings from Maine/USA.

She is a good boat. I think it would fit a couple budget cruising perfectly. Things to consider talking about would be age and material of through hulls. Age and condition of sails. Age of the standing rigging.

I have a Seahawk 34. I must have a different top side on mine as the seating area in the cockpit where you lean against is differently not deep. And again what about the stowage-inside.

Very nice style, no clever remarks but simple step by step guide through the boat. Missed the point about the gearbox, it sounded negative and unusual. Splines are affected by alignment rather than routine connection wear. Maybe I missed the point.

Thankyou for your comments, they are much appreciated and will be taken onboard. These particular Volvo Penta's are known for a spline wearing issue, of which was recognised by Volvo Penta and a modification was produced. Maybe I should have explained in a little more depth in the video, I will make sure to detail things like this with more information.

What happened to Windjammer?

Strange that he focuses on the interior as though it is an apartment. It’s better to focus on the sailing capabilities. It looks little-used. Yes the headlining foam will be dust, it needs completely stripping out and redoing, and the through deck bolts will need to be rebedded. I took out ten buckets of black foam dust, and replaced and rebedded over 50 through deck bolts on my Oceanranger as the silicon dies after about ten years. It takes time and money.

Excellent talk through, though you might've explored the saloon lockerage under and behind the seating a bit more. Westerly made some straightforward, practical boats with a good standard of finish down below. At £33,000 I think it's a tad over-priced as there are jobs that need addressing - like solar panels - that should've been dealt with by the owner. So far as I'm concerned, if anything needs doing to a boat that's for sale then it's a `project' boat. Thanks for sharing...

The headlining is a big job. There is foam in between the lining and the fiberglas and it needs to be taken off completely. A real mess. Also there are some leaks as you can see in the drawer and on the bulkhead. I think it's far to expensive.

Thanks is it rated as ocean going or coastal, it would be nice if she was a 35 ft ketch , What's the antifouling , and does it need another treatment What year? 🏴🏴🐼🐼

This is a blue water boat, that has nothing to do with the cabins etc. that is the focus of this film.

@andrewbrown2063 the focus is always on what you can see. And this boat needs a lot of work before it goes anywhere. Bluewater yes...looking at the sea from the hardstand💪💪😅
