I knew it was something crazy like that.

Hi Mike, another record sleeve question. I always turn the open side of the sleeve up before sliding it in the jacket. I think I’m the only one who does that. I think it protects the record better than orienting the sleeve with the jacket. It’s been so long since I bought a brand new record that I don’t remember how they came from the store. What do you think is the right way to do it?

The right way is to put the open side up. It does make it harder to get the record out and back in later though.

My older brother always taught me the same. It does keep the dust out and helps protect against smoke for us smokers.

Yeah, I'm ready for a rockin' show - maybe even a little shake, rattle, & roll? That's a nice copy of that Originals promo 45 - same with The Byrds promo! Great 78s too - I don't usually buy 78s but if those gems were cheap I would have jumped on them myself! Even the Bugs Bunny set is way-cool ...and, of course Esquivel! ...Went to the GW store today and not much new this time - had to settle for a NM copy of Vangelis, "Chariots Of Fire" LP, a well-used but not abused stereo copy of Johnny Thunder's "Loop De Loop" LP on Diamond, and a NM copy of the "Dark Shadows" TV show soundtrack LP with poster. All were about $1.70 ea. with Monday senior's discount... oh yeah, almost forgot - found a Dutch import CD of a rare 1963 record, "Soothing Sounds For Baby Vol. 1" by Raymond Scott - it's gentle but crazy electronic music!
