1:14 musical nod to Pokemon XD and Colosseum. Always loved that part. But woo boy. This was a tough battle for me back then. I had gone back to EV train and level up my DS Pokemon and get better held items just so I could finally win. Palkia refused to die.

When I was a kid I didn't have a DS nor did I know you could swap rental Pokémon so I made it to this fight with Prinplup, Monferno, Grotle, Gabite, Staravia, and Luxio. I never managed to beat the legend spam until I came back with my Platnium team years later (Cynthia is still harder) but getting that far with those six was hard enough.

Oh, how it makes me want to get up and move mountains! Mmm...I'll always come back here when life kicks me in the stomach. The memories are all here too. My silly child self decided to make fun of the appearance of the Colosseum Master instead of relishing the sights sounds and triumph of kicking his rear end! I struggled so much on him but when I finally did best him, it was a clean sweep!! My trusty​ pal Charmeleon guided the way. Heh.. *Wipes tears* I would never evolve Charmeleon as a kid because he was so loved and hands down my favorite poke...

Amphibious Chinchilla I think most complaints I hear about this game revolve around the lack of an actual story mode like some of its predecessors. Kinda sucks that people dismiss it because it has some amazing music and by far the best graphics of any Pokemon game imo

@@Nameless_mixes If you had the diamond or pearl DS games, it was a whole different experience because you could see and modify your pokemon - sort of as you were to go to a different region and adventure. Playing with what they gave you seemed disappointing other than that; it wasn't much other than a 3D render of your pokemon. Regardless, the DS and Wii capability was really cool since you could watch the match from the TV. It was a fun experience since the theme in the game and setup were well done, and if I'm not mistaken, you could also win rewards to transfer back to the DS. In my opinion, if you didn't have the DS games to complement PBR, you were missing out on elements that should've been with the Wii game to begin with. It was sort of like having whipped cream frosting without the strawberry to complement it. I honestly went out to buy Diamond just to play around with PBR in VS. matches and complete the single player - a great experience in retrospect :P

This brought me so way back. The good old days of using my Trusty Garchomp, Steelix, and Sevier to defeat The final boss. One of the coolest moments, seeing my favorite Poison type take home the W. What a moment, we need this game back in a modern setting. GAME FREAK YOU BETTER LISTEN!!!

@@kakirosaurio so… you don’t think the area zero themes, specifically the field theme, Tera raid theme (the beginning anyway), and the AI battle theme AREN’T good? The academy themes are ok i guess but it’s not like toby’s solely responsible for the OST. And, just cause you consider tawada’s leitmotifs good (which they are), doesn’t make him less of a leitmotif abuser than toby
