Hello again all you beautiful People . I hope you've had an amazing week and are easing into an even better weekend. A hell of a lot going on today. This breakdown was brutal as you will see. Took me quite a few days and still didn't get it finished, but you'll see what I mean in the video Another awesome donation from my farming friend and a huge amount to add to the stack. So sit back relax enjoy the video but most important be happy and have a great day 😁. Oh and while ive got your attention be sure to share the video with someone if you think they'll enjoy it as that will certainly help the channel crack the 1.5 million sub mark😆. Oh and if you're still here and you are watching from a laptop or PC, why not chuck on one of my longer playlists and simply walk away as that will increase watch time and also help the channel hugely but if not that's cool , thanks for watching and your continued support👊🏻

@@urazatesoglu Im not sure the scrap prices but BigStack does his prices off of current copper values not current copper Scrap values as after its melted into an ingot its definitely no longer scrap copper. I think his value was right on the money as he must have done the copper value yesterday or the day before as the value in this video was 2992TRY but right now its now worth 3000TRY😊😊

Actually, you are probably the 20 or 30th person to say that but it was the opening music from Scarface film. I can honestly say I have never seen one Star Trek film or TV show and I avoid Star Wars like the plague after they introduced Jar Jar Binks🤬! Who the hell gave Jaja Binks a green light on such a massive franchise I cannot believe it and it has scarred me for life

Keep it. If it doesn't work out, you can scrap it later. Great video. I love to see a good copper melt. That's a good friend, You weren't kidding about it being a job to tear that down. Those copper tubes through the aluminum really tired me out watching you painstakingly get the copper separated from the aluminum! It's 60f ( 15.5C ) this morning in S/E Michigan. USA, a little cool for summer but not by much. We have already hit the 90s ( 32C ) for a high a few days. Take care and have a great weekend, everyone!

If you have a use in mind for the cast iron plinth, then keep it. It won't be affected by hot or molten metal, for one thing, and if you clean it up and put some protective, heat-proof coating on it, it'll look ok. Once you've finished with it, (or find it's not quite as suitable for the task as you thought), it'll come in handy to put flower pots on, if nothing else! 😁 I suspect there's going to be a _lot_ of slag from doing that aluminium, what with all the dust and dirt between the fins. I imagine, once you reduce it all down, there won't be quite as many ingots from it as you think. The copper melts always look great, of course!

It's good to know that BigStacked is a Trekkie! Love the "Voyager" theme!
@Grandwigg2 ай бұрын
I'm in the comments today specifically for this. Star Trek has such beautiful music in the shows the movies everything. Deep space nine is one of my favorites for a show in the theme song, Though Voyager is a close second in both areas. The music he chooses to play for the drives in his truck never fail to make me smile. (Also on the subject of music every time the dogs are referred to as monkeys I hear the theme song to the old monkeys TV show in my head.)

I wonder how much aluminum, tin and extra copper it would take to turn 1 Kg of brass into nortic gold (obviously no longer 1 Kg).
@joshp60614 ай бұрын
You made me curious so I did the math. To get to Nordic gold, which is 89% copper, 5% aluminum, 5% zinc, and 1% tin, from 2.2 pounds (1 kg) of common brass which is 61.5% copper, 35.5% zinc, and 3% lead, you can add 12.5 pounds of copper (that’s over 5x as much as the brass), 0.79 pounds of aluminum, and 0.16 pounds of tin, and you end up with 15.6 pounds of 88.5% copper, 5% zinc, 5% aluminum, 1% tin, and about 0.4% lead. It’s pretty hard to lower the amount of lead but I don’t know how it’ll affect the final alloy. If you try to add more to lower it’s overall percentage, the zinc will drop too much and you’ll have to add more of that, too
@pizza15x4 ай бұрын
@@joshp6061 I didn't realize that brass could have lead in it. Well that's unfortunate.
@joshp60614 ай бұрын
@@pizza15x not that it can, it just typically does. You could add like twice or thrice as much of everything to lower the lead much more but then you’d have to add some pure zinc too. Can I do the math on that too? What’s an acceptable % of lead, 0.1%? 0.05%?
@pizza15x4 ай бұрын
@@joshp6061 Sure. I would say 0.05%.
@joshp60614 ай бұрын
@@pizza15x Ok you gotta add a whole lot of copper for that 2.2 lbs brass (1 kg) + 110 lbs copper + 6.3 lbs aluminum + 1.25 lbs tin + 5.5 lbs zinc = 88.9% copper, 5.0% zinc, 0.05% lead, 5.0% aluminum, & 1.0% tin Though you'd only have to add 55 pounds of copper to get the lead down to 0.1%

At 18:44 - Those are capacitors. S216-220 is just a model number. 216-259 MFD means 216 to 259 micro-Farads, which depends on the frequency of either 60Hz AC (North America) or 50Hz (pretty much everywhere else). It will operate at voltages between 220 to 250 Volts, AC. If you charge them up, and hold one in each hand - the back end, not the terminals - they can act as deterrents and protection against Drop Bears. . . . LOL! - p.s. - *Keep it!*
