🎼 It's great to see your smiling face on YT again. Many thanks for these teaching moments.🙏 I have to tell you that I've put my drums down for a bit because I've been feeling a little frustrated with my perceived lack of progress lately. I've been told that sometimes one should walk away so that the lessons can sink in. So the other day I picked up my least favourite drum, the one that I have the hardest time with, the one that I haven't touched in at least six months, and all of a sudden, kind of out of no where I could play it. Not very well, but not horribly. You have an exercise that I just couldn't wrap my head around, but then kind of out of the blue it worked. And from that, that drum and I are finally becoming friends. Many thanks to you Amy,.🙏You are a awesome teacher.👍

Ah, tresillo. One of the most common rhythms throughout pop music, and such a fun and bouncy one. =D Played it a lot with steel pans, too. It's particularly loved in Caribbean and South American music.
