I was looking at the SMLRO SU7 which is the exact same. But couldn't find any reviews on it. Love that the controller is concealed within the frame now.

I appreciated the off road test, but the reason I always wanted a 2WD e-bike was for extreme hill climbing, where the front end rises up so you lean forward, then the back wheel slips. I was hoping you'd do an extreme off road hill climb test, although a hub motor that can go 33 MPH on the road may not have the torque to haul a 240 pound rider up a steep off road hill at the limits of 2WD traction.
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez 3 ай бұрын
How steep are you thinking? I'm 235lbs and the hills I climb off-road behind my house are almost it's limit. If you lean forward it does stop the front from spinning

@@MotoCheez - I suspect both 1000 watt hub motors will stall on steep enough terrain because it's power limited. On the 1WD motorcycles I've ridden, there was plenty of power to climb vertically in a low enough gear but it's traction limited. Hub motors have one gear, and while electric motors have excellent torque, hub motors that are capable of 30+ MPH have a torque roll off at low speeds on steep hill climbs. But compared to a 1WD e-bike, 2WD is more better!

Sweet ride, thanks for the ride and review. I wonder what a spare battery cost? They should have a optional hanger for a spare. That would be cool if you could plug a universal battery. Like a power bank for your phone. I'd be paranoid to run out of battery otherwise.
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez 3 ай бұрын
Thanks! Spare batteries are usually 500 to $600 foam a 20 amp hour. It is 48 volts so a phone power bank would not work unfortunately

"Please Pay Attention to the Surrounding Environment" is from Half-Life.... lol, Like that little Drone you have.... Looks bullet proof.. ha ha.. Do you recommend it? Love the Dual Drive I got through you.. I do wish is would do only the front drive on occasion though... The switch is better on the one i have for flipping between drives.. But needs another notch in the selection.. All good though...

Awright, yer Cheezyness. "Front fender". Think on it, what is the point of the front fender? To keep water/mud off the rider? Right? So? Why is the front fender NOT dropping down BEHIND the front wheel (where the water is slung up from)? Sort of pointless to have it out in front of the gooseneck. Nice bike though.

Believe it or not, it helps on the small stones that fling off on dirt roads riding fast, some still fly off and hit your face but rarely. Definitely better than bikes w no fenders

What do you think the lifespan of the battery and electronics would be? I'd like an ebike but my main hesitation is that I don't want to drop $1500 every year or two.
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez 3 ай бұрын
Typically they get 600 or more charge cycles. So roughly 3 to 5 years on the battery, the electronics should last more than double that IMO unless there is a defect

Hi, nice review, i was abouth to get a engwe x24, you think i should think about change my mind and go for this one ? 🙂
@MotoCheez
@MotoCheez 3 ай бұрын
I feel this bike would be way better than the x24 because of the dual drives alone... Of course if you run dual drive all the time you're going to suck the battery down fast, which is why I switch between dual and single mode off and while riding but it's awesome to have that option when you hit the big hills especially if you're off road!
