I did a hike up Mount Snowdon in Wales, made the summit around 8pm (just as the sun was going down). Was great as I was the only person up there! The journey back down was a bit crazy as I had no torch or headlamp. Last hour of my hike back down was spent with my arms out front and hoping to get down a zig zag path full of long grass in the pitch black! what a crazy evening... wow that would have made a good film!! Learned my lesson though... I always carry a headtorch now with new batteries in it!! Cool vid...... keep 'em coming!

A few friends and i just got back today from a week down in the linville gorge. Great trip for us Boone local guys. We all packed heavy for some gooder than hell cooking. It was hell but dang we ate better than we normally do at home. Roasted a full chicken, deer tenderloin warped with bacon, jambalaya. Weather was rain, snow, ice and only seen the sun for a bit. Made a shelter for campfire/cooking. Living in these Mtns is the best!

That was an awesome hike you did remind me a one of my rides I went from Cleveland Ohio to Findley State Park via mountain bike using the GPS on the phone and it took me five hours it was a hundred miles just to the sign not including the additional 10 miles from the sign to the campgrounds plus on top of that you had a 10 mile mountain bike loop that I had to do at least five miles of so I can set up my camp and then get out that morning. My backpack is a goneX 100L tactical backpack by itself weighs 8 lb plus my gear which came to a total of 75 lb and on top of that temperature outside was 115°F For a 50 year old man I think I did damn good

That is some long walk. And having it be flat really helps - but it is is still one step in front of the other. I am no where in shape as you but would like to build up to about half of that. Jealous it's still March and you can hike snow free. I hiked here in Southern Ontario and it was an icy and wet slushy mess this weekend. And that cold coffee... you could have fired up a little Esbit stove for a coffee and it would have been only 5-10mins too. That is my plan. :)

Very well done on that hike Luke, that’s some tough going pal. No sign of Sasquatch after dark then? It’s an area of sighting isn’t it on the trail 👍. The end town look pretty nice with the train and other stuff but pretty scary when you were rhyming off all the troubles the town as seen in the past year. Cheers mate, Ant.
