This is so great. You are so great. Thoughtful, reflective, aware. You have some really great insight and I'm excited to learn from you and watch your journey continue to unfold. And you're right up the road from me! Congrats on starting T and drop me a line. Maybe we need to do a trans guy meetup sometime.

Thank you, love! I am equally excited to learn from you and feel honored to be a witness to your journey. It's so cool, isn't it -- to feel so connected with those willing to share. Yes to meetup! :)

Hey Charlie, Ian here. 55 year old trans guy in week 5 of my transition. Thanks for sharing your transition thoughts with us. I will probably do the same shortly. Still need to talk with a few people first. I've learned so much from people's videos, what a great resource for other trans people. Thank You!

Ian Maxwell That's awesome, Ian! I support you sharing your experience if it feels right. I agree that it is such a great way to feel connected with something not everyone can understand. Much love to you!

Hey there. :) Good for you for joining the community on here. Someone at an LGBT health centre once told me that the trans community is its own best resource. So the more people that share with each other, the better, for those who will be transitioning in the future or are questioning at the moment. ^^ I also get what you're saying about not wanting to share on Facebook.. I've come out as well, but I like to keep some privacy on here during the actual transition, cause like you said.. it is a very personal thing.

so were you presenting as a guy since 2009 as well as the name change?
@socozycharlie1629 жыл бұрын
TheGenderChannel Hi! You bring up a really good clarifying point. I was presenting as myself at that current time -- that being non-binary / gender fluid / cool with he or she / not really wanting to talk to much about it.. since 2009. Looking back, I've been sllloooowllly coming out to myself over the past 6 years and my name change was a step in the direction my heart was calling me to. And now, here I am finally embracing that I am more of a man than a woman AND that I am both. Two spirited label fits well for me, if I must go that label route. I am continually fascinated with everyone's process and how different AND alike we are. I find it imperative that we choose curiosity over judgement and compassion over fear. For me, my name change was a declaration of choosing to live the life I want to live. I thought it had little to do with my gender expression -- I just like the name, Charlie.... but, now looking back, I was claiming a part of myself that I wasn't willing to yet admit. Thank you for the question, my friend! :)
