one thing i haven't seen anyone mention yet is that those 2 stances and weapon charm are finally unlockable from getting 100% campaign completion. act of genesis is a good stance and i'm glad to finally have it in my inventory

just a heads up, if you already have 100%, you may need to replay a mission to get the game to recognize your progress towards these unlocks. i just replayed the assassination target at the top of the map and that fixed it for me. enjoy (:

You are completely justified in feeling that way. This isn't the first time they've pulled this shit. They've given us 8 years (arguably 10) of proof that they simply don't care about the franchise or us. Halo Infinite is a repetition of Halo 5 which is a repetition of Halo MCC. People just randomly chose to forget or they genuinely don't care enough about the franchise to stand against 343.

IM SO HAPPY THAT THE LAPTOP BUG GOT RESOLVED! The game was near unplayable for me on my laptop (which is far more powerful than my desktop atm) but now I can finally enjoy the game with nice looking visuals and a stable framerate! Hopefully they can keep moving forward with these updates!

the red reticle on pc and the aim slow down for mouse when aiming at someone within red ret range is SOOOO good. controllers still have an advantage but HOLY FUCK does this help mouse not feel as disadvantaged as before

Having trouble with the Custom Games Browser. After one session, I couldn’t join any games after. Seems like the UI has gotten way slower than last time. I hope this will get fixed soon, cuz I really want to join games and have fun with other players.

That's what people said back in 2016 with Halo 5, yet Halo MCC was a mess in 2014 and stayed that way until 2018, and we got Halo Infinite... We're stuck in a time loop created by ourselves.

My thoughts on the situation: Should a lot of this stuff been here at launch? Yes. Do we still have a long way to go? Definitely. Is that going to stop me from being happy that I can finally experience this game in the way I want? Not at all. After a year of under-delivering, this update genuinely caught me off guard. Today has been the first day I ever thought of infinite as an actual live service game. I think an unfortunate side effect of this update is that it shows 343 that surprise updates will have better reception, meaning we might get less information about content in the future. It's easy to please people who expect nothing, and I think the last thing anybody expected was a Surprise update filled with goodies. Halo isn't dead to me, and I'm sure Custom games and forge will help smooth over the wait for 343 to get it's issues sorted out. I'm glad that the community reception is mostly positive, because it sends the message that we appreciate 343 sticking with the game, even if it's supposed to be a live service. I don't think anyone here wants to see Halo abandoned. For now I'll be enjoying myself in customs, because I've heard some great things about what the community has managed to do.

I practiced in training mode for a couple hours and I can't hit any of the snap slides I normally hit. 343 want no skill gap in their game, and it's especially frustrating that they still decided to patch it out despite the outcry from competitive and pro players. It also feels like they reverted aiming back to how it was before the winter update. Which was when it was worse. And frame pacing on PC has got way worse too. 170 frames feels like 100 now. It forces me to cap my frame rate, and I don't want to do that because it increases input lag, and for whatever reason on Halo Infinite in particular, when you cap the fps, the frame drops are significantly worse than uncapped frame drops. I also wish there was an option to turn off red reticle, because I'm used to playing without it. I'm so fucking disappointed. As a competitive player, this update is downgrade, so much so that I don't want to play.

Wow. I heard rumors but I thought they were just crazy hopes. Btw, was thinking, maybe the steep prices for the cosmetics are not just for greed but also to monetise something like Halo 3, ODST and/or Reach remakes. It sounds crazy, but MCC is sitting onthe holy grail of Halo, with so many cross feature opportunities to revive those old games. But I'm also thinking it would be weird if they made us pay for basically the same game, updated; although I wouldn't put it past them, since those potential remakes are an absolute goldmine, especially if done right. But, the reason they don't tell us something like this is in the works is because, as we saw, they can't keep their promises, so they stealthily do it so they don't have another scandal on their hands. OR they're just greedy OR OR, they're in serious debt, OR OR OR it's money laundering. 😆

Ever since the update came out I've been having issues getting into custom lobbies via the browser. The game will always say "unable to connect" or "connection lost." By the contrary, I've had a better time getting into custom lobbies via Mint Blitz's server and HaloAPI's website combined.
