I was really hoping to join y’all in Utah until I scheduled rotator cuff surgery for late February. Sixteen weeks of PT will curtail any RV shenanigans until early July. I still hope to meet you guys one day. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are so sorry to miss you, but we are glad you are prioritizing your health and taking care of your shoulder. It’s hard to let go of the fun plans for the tough ones, but you will be so much the better for it afterwards. We will see you at a future RV Miles hangout!! Be well!

Muppets Christmas Carol is the #1 Christmas movie EVER! I enjoy a few others, but nothing can knock Michael Caine and Kermit out of the #1 spot in my heart!!

NM chose the raise rates; if it does not generate additional $$ then prices can be reduced or realign products.

The sad thing is, a lot of people call it camping and think of it as just fun and entertaining. Yet I am a travel nurse and to me, the price has gone up in many places as my paycheck has gone down. It is just a way of life.
@RVMilesPodcast24 күн бұрын
I think the travel nurse/seasonal worker component in all of this is grossly overlooked. We can’t keep pricing people out of this lifestyle while in the same breath calling it affordable. Thank you for the comment and for the work you do to care for others! -Abby

Many of these government run campgrounds are pricing themselves right out of business. You may believe they they are going to upgrade the parks, but it’s going take years for them to get these improvements through their various processes. I’m seeing this locally with our local state and regional campgrounds and parks.

Why not design both a 40 foot and what you would like as a 30 foot
@RVMilesPodcast22 күн бұрын
Great question. Much of what we liked/ended up needing to be comfortable during this season of travel just didn’t work for our family in 30’.

In my 3 years of full timing. No one has ever said they like or want the dinette. Everyone is know had ripped them out.
@RVMilesPodcast23 күн бұрын
We used the dinette regularly in our travel trailer but we did replace the dinette in our fifth wheel with a desk. It’s nice to have options and do what works for you! -A

Are you planning on camping or Glamping? Are you weekend warriors, weekly warriors, or full timers? Do you need all the comforts of home or do you want to rough it?… Like it was called in the olden days. I’m kind of tired of people that can’t tolerate being inconvenienced a little bit dictating how the rest of us have to manage our outdoor lives. If you really need a three star plus hotel to be happy, then please, go to a three star hotel. Not referring to Abbey and Jason’s needs. Just want others to think about theirs.

I think the beauty of RVing and camping is that there is a place for everyone around the campfire. Primitive campsites all the way up to luxury RV resorts, tiny no frills campers up to luxury rigs. At one time or another, we have been a little bit of all these things and I’m so glad we never had to pick one type and just be that forever. I loved our bus days, loved our trailer days, our big ol’ fifth wheel days with all the conveniences and then our tiny 25’ off road we that took us to the most remote places. Now, we enter this new season with a new RV, I’m so excited to get to try a new hybrid of things and enjoy even more of this amazing country in all types of campgrounds. Variety is the spice of life and RVing is the spice of travel! -A
