I would love to see the alignment. I had no idea that this sizing could work without rolling and cutting! 255s is probably overkill for most anyway but it looks great.

Just installed mine. Idk how you managed to connect the wires in that spot. I had to shift down closer to the connector. Wires wouldn't reach at first! Sick light though!

A lot of variables play into this decision. Are you going to be installing coilovers? How low are you wanting to go? How much camber are you willing to run?

@@KevinVo if i need to install coil overs i will but i dont know what i need in order for me to have thicker wheels because the base model comes with 17in wheels I believe and i dont know if i can go bigger that way i dont damage the car

After struggling with my hands for like 20 minutes I found the easiest way to put the light in is just to grab it with pliers and push it in. Super easy.

Well, the 4th brakelight finally came in the mail. Installation was straight forward but getting that light in was no joke lol! It was definitely difficult. Looks great though!

Definitely want to see the entire alignment process, I was ready to buy 17x9’s until I saw the update at the end of this video, had no idea 18x9.5 (My original preferred sizing) would fit with just some toe arms, upper and lower control arms. Would it be possible to add a drive test as well towards the end of you do?

Ordered the exact kit off of Amazon and a few things I’d like to add after installing mine today for anyone else possibly buying this for their car as well. The kits instructions are for a first generation frs/brz/86 so the colors of the wires listed in the instructions are NOT the same as on second gen. The way he does it in this video is the way to go haha. Also the taps included with the kit did not provide a good connection and I could not get mine to work with them, I ended up Soldering mine and they work great now. And lastly, when I ordered it I was expecting the light to be solid, but once installed mine came as a blinking f1 style brake light. I’m not sure if I ordered a variant that had the blinking as opposed to not or if it’s just random but I actually wanted a blinking one originally so I’m happy with the result

Depending on the how its wired I would be interested in picking up a JDM version (I am assuming( of the OEM light and having just that fog light function. It's kinda odd how they didn't just retain that function for the US market.

This video inspired me to create a circuit that lets me pump my brakes 10 times really quick and then the brake light goes into flash mode, F1 style! I'm going to use this on the track and when auto crossing. How many other people want something like this?

Update: By playing with the on/off duty cycle of the blue wire (brake light function) I seem to have broken the two level function of the LED and now it only lights up with one level of intensity regardless of which input is energized. Boo hiss.

my 3rd brake light has the dual led function but sometimes even when having the headlights clicked one up to have them always on it doesn’t turn on unless I press on the brake. Could I have done smth wrong w the wires?

I definitely like it ( OEM+) It add a hints of the classic stock looks but with a twist. Totally a deal saver and worth the budget, since the dealership vehicle / use car price now-a-day all overpriced 👍. Also, there is no need to throw away the OEM reflector housing 👍. I just don't get why, most car manufacturers leave out this function, similar to adding plastic covers over the fake air vents port 😢 ... 0h, as for the light bulb rubber, using a little damp touch of Vaseline will help to easily install the lightbulb. Vaseline is safe on most O' rings and rubber seals. One of the Master tech uses it for installing or seating a Fuel tank O' Ring seal. The rubber seal is safe, and will not create any future cracking 👍.

It would be one thing if you actually got to use it as a rear fog like but I don’t need a *4th* brake light to begin with let alone sit there for 30 min trying to push in the bulb. It’s kinda funny how people want blacked out taillights but also want more brake lights lol. Cheap and “technically easy” mod if you’re into it but I just see it as a waste of time
