With Galaxy you can also do a frame perfect spin to climb the slope for a few seconds. If you spin as you touch the ground for about 5 seconds you can walk up before the game realizes it’s mistake and you slide right back down.

I have realized that once you slide again after this glitch there is no spin, but if you jump just before you can spin and climb a bit higher to quickly get up to the top of the slope that he demonstrated on

Fun fact: you can long jump out of water in Galaxy if you press Y and ZL simultaneously at the surface of the water and you press A immediately after. It's tricky to master, but it makes traversing some water levels a tad more bearable.

Actually, there is an even easier way to get up slopes without jumping in Super mario Galaxy. All you have to is run straight to the slope and spin and spin and spin without jumping. That will get you there as fast as running. Also using that method will get you to the top of the comet observatory without any stars

These are really cool secrets! One thing to note about climbing slopes in Galaxy: if you walk toward a slope, the moment you start to slow down, do a spin, and it will refresh your walking. Then just rinse and repeat, and climb that slope!

You forgot the “Mario holding his hat” trick in super Mario 64. In a course where he loses his hat (like Snowman’s land), if you do the warp point back and forth a few times within the level, then go to your hat, there will be tons of hats there. Mario will grab them, and it’ll glitch and he’ll end up holding his hat for the rest of the level.

My personal favorite is mario 64's slope climbing glitch. You can hold a to jump, then mash b while holding a to infinitely kick up slopes. Its a little weird to get the feeling for, but definitely worth using.

There's actually a secret they missed. In Super Mario Galaxy, if Mario backflips off a pillar and there is water nearby, he'll actually do an unique backflip that turns into a dive, helping you get deeper in the water easier-ly.

If you actually long jump onto a slope and spin right before you start sliding, you get an extra spin. You can keep spinning and walking up the slope like this. Not sure if it works everywhere tho, but it’s a lot faster

in the very beginning of both star 2 and 3 of Space Junk Galaxy in SMG, you can perform a pretty difficult glitch where you long jump from the yellow starshroom into the red starshroom which, if performed correctly, will make the gravity freak out and put Mario inside the yellow starshroom trapping him forever.

you can also force your way through slopes on Rosalina's Observatory in order to reach the part where you can unlock the fast-travel teleporter

While this is just a technicality, you can do a backflip and maybe even a side jump to reach that higher launch star at Good Egg Galaxy, do it doesn’t have to be a triple jump. You appear way below that launch star, but it still picks up the spin activation! Fun video I am totally going to use that lily pad exploit in sunshine

Not sure if anyone knows this but in mario sunshine, mario can actually carry drops of water when he comes out of a body of water. That means that you can actually use this mechanic to skip the pianta village lava level

You can actually crawl up slopes in Super Mario 64. Let's say if you miss a few red coins in the Vanish Cap level in the slope. Just crawl up there. It's a bit slow, but it works well!

In SMG you can just walk up a slope, right before you are about to slide down you just have to Spin and you'll continue to walk. Keep doing this until you get up the slope. Pretty sure this was obvious enough, but just in case make sure you face forward while going up since you are walking. I got this to work in Honeyhive Galaxy as well as Gold Leaf Galaxy. Though I am sure it can work in others. It might take a few tries to figure it out, but once you do it is very easy and a lot more efficient than the one shown in the video (No offense lol)!

With the slope in honeyhive galaxy there is a much easier way to get up the slope, all you have to do is jump onto the slope then spin which will allow to run up a bit then your spin resets and you can repeat and then it only takes like 4 spins to get up

In Sunshine, what do the blue coins do again? I played it on GameCube back in the day and I loved it, but I apparently forgot some details. Also, do gold coins give 1up with 100 collected or do you spend them in a store? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe collecting each of the 8-piece sets of red coins gives a shine sprite, right?

Blue coins are used to purchase shine sprites from the shop in the building with the entrance to Ricco Harbor. Every 10 blue coins gives you a shine sprite with a total of 240 blue coins in the game, and 24 shine spirits to buy. Each red coin mission gives you a shine sprite after collecting all 8 of them. Regular coins do grant you a 1-up not for every 100 coins, but in fact for every 50 coins. Since 100 is a multiple of 50, it will also give you a 1-up
