Technically, Sonic Advance isn't a Trillogy. it actually has 4 games in it's storyline, the 4th being Sonic Battle, which takes place between Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Advance 3, which is why we have an Eggman-built Gizoid as part of Sonic Advance 3. Gemerl, which is basically Emerl from Sonic Battle rebuilt by Eggman after the end of the events in Sonic Battle. Fun fact: The REASON the 4Kids dub of Sonic X pronounces Emerl as "EM EL" is due to the dubbers failing to translate the r in Emerl, so, they probably were like: "Well, we don't know if that's supposed to be an l or r, so let's just put into the script of it being EM EL", which the reason they failed to properly translate it, is because the R and L sounds we use in English, are the same exact sound between them. Which is similar to the dubs of One Piece, where the manga initially had Luffy's first recruit to his Pirate crew being spelled "Zoro", but once the 4Kids dub instead spelled it as "Zolo". He was also pronounced "Zolo" in the videogame adaptations of the story, till later games where they had their own story in the game, where I assume started was around the time of the Funimation Dub, where they correctly dubbed his name "Zoro", along with other changes. So yeah, when you're dubbing an anime, translating the "RL" hybrid sound is a HUGE pain in the butt. Not that I've ever experienced it. Since the game is old, I feel no shame in spoiling Sonic Advance 3's ending. After completing the final battle, Gemerl is recovered by Tails, where he reprogrammed Gemerl to act more like Emerl did in Sonic Battle, before Eggman had activated Gerald Robotnik's special coding he inserted into the Gizoid, as a means of taking revenge against humanity.

@zigazav13 жыл бұрын
Also, I learned about Sonic Shuffle from that game generally the Sonic fandom all hate: Sonic and the Secret Rings. I played it alot when I was younger, like, I played it SO much I've memorized the true ending's cutscene of that game. Word for word. Seriously, I could be right here and recite the entire after final battle cutscene's lines perfectly. Because of learning about Sonic Shuffle from that weird Sonic game, I bought myself a copy of Sonic Shuffle. It was the last thing I got while working with my previous PSW before he quit on me. The game is fun in it's own right, but I COULD NOT beat the end of board minigame on the airship board. That's right, unlike Mario Party, there's a minigame after the board is over. And they handled the card system very interestingly. If you're playing multiplayer with someone in that, the hands of cards are all hidden what they are, on the TV. But to make sure only the player who has those cards knows for sure what cards they have, they used the VMU's screen to display the hands of cards the player has. And VMUs, even if you don't care about that game, they were an original idea for how to make a memorycard for a console. It not only stored your save data, but it had a screen and small game storage in it too. A good example of this is the Sonic Adventure games on the Dreamcast. You could take your Chao within either of the Sonic Adventure games, and put it directly into your VMU, which you could then afterwards all that, take out the VMU, and play an original game called Chao Adventure, that you could only play on the VMU. Once the Sonic Adventure games were brought to the Gamecube, they replaced Chao Adventure (1 and 2) with the Tiny Chao Garden, which covered most of the benefits of Chao Adventure, giving you access to certain exclusive items, but it lacked the feature of Chao Adventure, where you could attach that VMU with Chao Adventure on it, to another VMU with that game on it with a Chao stored in it also, and have them both make Chao Eggs, Tamagotchi-style. That was replaced with purchasable eggs in the Tiny Chao Garden's shop.

Secret Rings I can understand being a bit awkward to port but we have the means to do it. Lost World has a PC port, why not Colors or Unleashed? Mega Collection did a lot to get me into Sonic in general despite growing up during the adventure era and not the classic era.
