The 105 did well, the 70 and 40 were both opened diffs and struggled. Traction control and lockers work well and that showed on the Rovers. Good video and looked fun.

Yes the Land Rovers outdid the Toyotas (as usual) but can we talk about that stock Pajero who saw the hill, saw the risk, then said "I'M GONNA MAKE IT OR DIE TRYING!"

tyres are too hard for sand. You can see it clearly. 15 psi and most of those cars would just walk up.

rover is light car yes. but breaks things... land cruiser 6 cilinders all day, any time. over 700.000km now, nothing broke....

I'm still driving 235/85. Well, they'r pretty close, 235/85 is 2mm higher than 265/75 tho, & 265/75 3cm wider than 235/85.

This isn't a good test. Dune buggies can speed through this hill like nothing and they don't have 4x4. This comparison will favor the lightest and fastest vehicle/driver. Regardless out of all of these, I pick the fj40 :-)

i take a HDJ80 all the time, for anything. Mutch room, cheap, fuel economic, strong, very good offroad, reliable; comfort. i have many LC80, if you want to buy? also LC100, sometime 70 series, troopys or short, i buy almost only 6 cilinder diesels... europe location. not expensive.

Ah c'est au Marquenterre ça ? Un peu d'élan et surtout des blocages de différentiel, c'est la clé pour passer assez bien et pas risquer de casser en allant trop vite ou en faisant hurler le moteur ^^ Malheureusement peu de 4x4 en ont d'origine, faut en faire installer mais ça coûte cher :-/ Belle petite vidéo :)

C'est clair que en croisement sans diff lock c'est plus compliqué... surtout sur du sable, où l'autre roue a peu d'hadérence... De mémoire le Disco de cette vidéo n'a que le diff centrale qui peut être bloqué, mais il s'en sort franchement pas mal honnêtement :D

Oui il est très efficace ! Je n'en ai pas sur mon Ford Maverick et si je devais me mettre sérieusement au 4x4, je pense que j'en mettrais un à l'arrière pour passer plus facilement en douceur sur les croisements de pont. C'est tellement efficace ce truc pour en avoir eu sur d'autres 4x4 de mon père.

Tu vas te faire plaisir en 4x4 ^^ j'adore les véhicules polyvalents comme ça, j'ai un 4x4 et un Trail en moto. Tu passes de la route au chemin quand tu veux, ça n'a pas de prix ;)
