I’m 36 yo female with a family. I originally took a “break” from college when I was pregnant. I recently went through a similar mindset and returned to college after a decade off. My first class -intro to networking, the professor shared a link to your video. I’m aiming for Cyber security as a career. It’s a lot of information and my brain hurts but I’m loving the challenge. Your videos are a great help, thank you.

Thank you so much for posting this Chuck. In a time when the world is drowning in "influencers", it is so very refreshing to hear someone with your reach and impact be as authentic and genuine about their real life as you were in this stream. I enjoy your IT related videos immensely, but getting a glimpse of life through your eyes and hearing the things you've learned in your life, including about your faith, was a great encouragement to me. Many of those lessons you mentioned resonated loudly with my experience in 42+ years of life, and it lifted my spirits to know someone else has had similar experiences and learned from them. So again, thank you Chuck for this stream and for all you do, not just for the IT community, but for the world at large.

I’ve just recently discovered your channel and all of your informative yet easy to understand videos have helped me learn the fundamentals which I had been lacking in web security and just Cybersecurity in general. I find myself watching this video after tuning into the stream so I can listen to the lessons I might’ve missed and take more detailed notes for the career ahead of me. Thank you for all the amazing content.

All of these lessons are soooo so good. Man, I cannot express enough how helpful this was. Being at the start of a career, 24, it is so easy to focus inwardly, get sucked into ambition and growth and neglect the wife, kids, church, family....but all of those things need to come first. They are what life is truly about. The career is just fun and you don't need to obsess over it all the time.

These are good lessons. Will follow as much as I can. But if you're stuck in relatively toxic family group that wants to put you down as much as they can like I am, you're playing on hard mode. I'm not saying it's impossible, but if you're in the same situation, cut yourself some slack if you can't advance as fast as people in a normal household do. On the bright side, you'll be a better person after knowing what not to do or follow.

On point #4, it's very true other people will try to take your time if they don't believe what you're doing with it is important. If you have a wife, several kids, and you say, "sorry, my time is taken", they'll understand. But if you try to craft your life free from obligation so that you have free time, and then you say "sorry, I've made choices so that I will have this free time, and I won't give it to you", then people will be resentful. I don't believe it should work that way, but all the evidence I've seen suggests that it does.

for meditation I would say not to cuz it has alot of disadvantages proven by researchers but instead you can sit for at least once a day and ask the ِall-knowing for help, ask him for mercy, ask him for guidance to the truth and ask him for anything you want in life, he the only one who will hear you and the only one who can help you and if you do this god will help you and you will feel better in every way and thats why we (muslims) pray 5 times a day to remember why we alive and not care too much about life and its stuff

If you have to get a prenup then you’re not really getting married.
@jrg_lmnop2 күн бұрын
@@blockchainsecuritynot every perspective is so this or that. Some people want to get married without the distraction of assets in their relationship. I wouldn’t get a prenup either, but I do understand when people do. It’s not for everyone.

@@jrg_lmnop I understand. Personally speaking, a prenup can feel like planning for failure, which kind of goes against the whole idea of lifelong commitment in marriage. It can seem like there’s a bit of hesitation to fully trust or share everything with each other.

Yeah, I can see how kids could be rewarding, and I've always been open to the idea, but I just don't believe in the "f-it, I'll figure out the expense part later." Life is so much more competitive now, and with the way the world is going if you don't have adequate resources, you're gonna be in a bad place trying to raise kids.
@kerubi5s2 күн бұрын
@@drcrankenstein why is it that having kid has to be always about the parents? that's too selfish don't you think? You shouldn't have kids just to feel rewarded. You should have kids if you do want to raise kids and if you have the capacity to do so.
