35 of the Weirdest Albums Ever Made

These some very weird albums. Obviously, everyone understands
weirdness differently, so I tried to include albums that are objectively, "totally bonkers".
Again, obviously, I haven't listened to every strange and experimental album ever made,
that would be impossible. So if anyone has any further suggestions, please comment.
Now I have included two small excerpts of each album, as I ususally do, but believe me,
in this case THEY ARE NOT representative of how the albums sound.
Basically if you want to know how the albums do sound you would have to listen to each one
from start to finish.
That's why for the first time I decided to include mini descriptions/reviews of each album.
Note that by saying that an album is weird I DO NOT say that it is good or bad,
just that they sound different from what is the norm.
Personally, I enjoy some of them more than others.

You are right, weird is very subjective. Trout Mask Replica sounds very logical to me. I would have added works by Ligeti, Nurse With Wound, Diamanda Galas, Jandek, Current 93, Ryoji Ikeda, Stockhausen, lots of Outsider Music artists and such. Then again these may sound logical to others. Nice list btw

Would like to see a list like this with more modern classical, early electronic and free jazz experimentation. A lot of that stuff is pretty weird.

No Boredom's? Interesting, but I suppose it would be way too long a list if you included everyone that deserved to be here (though Mike Patton got to appear twice, but I won't complain about those inclusions. Love how many of these have been in my regular rotation since childhood.

Hah I couldn't help notice Warning on the thumbnail. I low key consider that one of the original death/black metal bands. Except it was prog from the future before the basic shit was even invented lol. Cool list. I'm proud of how much of it I was previously aware of. But I don't know if I'd call Frizzle Fry a weird album. Try 'Riddles are Abound Tonight' by Les Claypool's other contemporary project to that, Sausage. I think that's way more experimental than anything Primus has ever done. Or Holy Mackerel is another wild Les sidecar band.

You could add “Lift Yr Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven” by Godspeed You Black Emperor”, “Spiderland” by Slint, and maybe “Dub Housing” by Pere Ubu. Maybe.

Thank you for not including the sound of METAL MACHINE MUSIC on your video. I never wanted to hear even a second of it after I heard it for my one and only time when it was first released.

Lou Reed only put it out because it was a Contractural Obligation for him so to do. He didn't 'believe' in it.
