Goodbye 33's! well, it's time for a change. It's time to try something different. I've gone to 35-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler's wrapped around ROH bronze assault rims. All with a 2 inch lift. www.epidemicso...

Honest review, very realistic not like other influencers hyping things up, yes berrima diesel seems legit, they have been around for a long time, one thing i have noticed to practice more of safe tune, for longevity unlike other famous tuners who try to put maximum output from the motor. People have commented on berrima social media platform that they had better fuel economy and better tune so bet its worth a trip

I found with the narrow track at the back I snaked going through sand when driving from a to b, not crawling or in short bursts, I also though because it's not driving in the track of the front and being on the mound of sand because it's not as wide my economy was more. Could be me with economy but the snaking was resolved.

Fair enough mate, I've had all my rigs snake in sand like Hilux for example, but nothing terrible. Sometimes they get a bit of a twerk up 🍑 😂

I've had 4WDs now for nearly two decades in total, and I have not had any issues with any alloy wheels on any of my 4WDs (touch wood). Then again I don't do hard wheeling, like rock hopping/crawling. Or any type of 4WDing that could damage my rig.
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Yeah look I honestly think I'll be fine also, steelies are more bush proof realistically. But now that I've gone a 35 on a 16 inch rim, I have a lot of sidewall for example wilhich gives me greater protection.
@LyfovRyan51Ай бұрын
I added a Safari Armax package to mine, as I was towing often. The torque increase was great, but took Package out as The 79 needed an injector arm and sensor replaced (done under warranty). Knowing now, I wish I'd just got the rear track correction done. I'll be interested to see how the negative rims work out for you.
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Yep, I won't go anywhere near any type of module, chip, flash tune, you name it, I don't care how safe they try to tell you it is. The only way is with a reputable diesel shop, full dyno tune. Like I said, I only run offset wheels for looks, narrow track never bothered me driving. I've never had a drama with offset wheels on LandCruiser's. Should be all sweet.

I got my black wheels a little 7 months too early when I first got my 76 hahahha, I actually purposely looked for bronze wheels to fit the sandy 76 but too expensive and not matching the track for the look front/back, would definitely gone for bronze if I had the option back then. Great stuff, keen to find out how the mt64s performs, currently tossing up between the bp51/mt64 but probably end up with mt64s as the bp51s are in the 7k mark.. which seems to be a bit too much for just a 2inch lift and what I use it for😂.
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
Ahh what a shame! I still like black wheels, but the bronze is nice and something different. Yeah I've ran bp's before and liked them, I'll see how these MT64 go performance wise. They seem to be durable.

Put your hand in your pocket and get a new rear diff housing More than a 25mm offset is illegal and insurance will wipe their hands with you. Not to mention there are so many examples of cheap cunce towing a decent load with neg 50 off set rims and shearing the wheel studs off due to the centre of gravity being transferred Man up and get a new diff

The wheel track of off-road four wheel drive vehicles must not be increased by more than 100mm beyond the maximum specified by the vehicle manufacturer for the particular model. That's in the NT. That's what I'm going by. (Measuring front diff housing) I ran neg 50's on my 2008 79, traded it in at 300,000km with not one drama. 🤷♂️

Well, running a 315 is usually much cheaper. For example I paid $440, if I went to a 35 on a 17 inch rim of the same tyre, I was looking at $700 plus. I could be wrong but I don't think the yokohama comes in a 315. They seem like they'd be a durable tyre though mate.

Hey bro I’m a total newbie to all this but I’m from Vancouver Canada I just bought a jeep jk wrangler 4 door and it came with 35 inch tires not sure the lift but it’s higher than most stock jeeps and tucks on the road. Are 35s good for rocks not like crazy but whatever’s on the road and what about snow you think is that size good or go higher up??
@OutbackOffroadNTАй бұрын
All the way from Vancouver! That is awesome. 35's are a good size for offroad in general in my opinion. As for snow, well, I come from the desert of Australia. So I'd probably be the worst person to ask haha! Though i will say that I think with snow and ice, the tread pattern and tyre (tire) type is more important imo. There are some great vids I've seen from the US and probably Canada explaining this in detail. Thanks for reaching out mate. 🤝👍
