35 - Tilly Rescues a Foden at Kettering Vintage Rally

We had what was probably the final rally of the season at Kettering. A great rally, and bigger than I expected.
We're now looking at new and different things to feature on Steam on the Road, so if you have any ideas then do get in touch.

The fact was, you was correct and the car stewards were wrong, as they failed to communicate with the main organiser. A model steam steward is something that kettering has lacked for a little while now, the original retired when he needed a operation, and the next one only lasted a couple of years until he became ill and had to stop. However, it Was great to see you. The full size was slightly smaller this year, but this was the largest turn out of models for several years. I had to rescue Rob on the Saturday. Found it quite amusing that the music they were playing over the tannoy as we left was the International Rescue march from Thunderbirds lol.

Yeah, not a big problem, it all worked out in the end. Still a good rally.

Drives me up the wall when you arrive at a rally and theres no one to start with even on the gate to show you where your section even is, and then when you get to the section its a desert of organisation. I appreciate everyones a volunteer etc but then they moan if we get it wrong. Looks like a nice rally, far too North for us though. Last one for us down in the New Forest this coming weekend and then its the Winter 😞

@@SteamOTR yup Burley, it's only a small rally but we went last year and found for such a little rally it has a bit of everything including a beer tent with live music, last year they were still going at 3am it was fab.

It's a great rally, but I've not seen a bad one yet!
