I was planning on the same thing on my drift car to get a rubber line with a metal fitting that sticks straight up away from my upper control arm. Did you prep that flat area with a file or block sand it or anything?

Good question! No, I didn't. I considered that, but I was more afraid I'd make it crooked. The casting of the caliper is a little rough like you'd expect, but the copper washer sealed it up just fine. I've been driving it, still no leaks. 🙂
