Deficit hex bar deadlifts. Most bang for buck exercise in existence.

Nice! Controlled eccentric as well as concentric AND your platform has your feet above the bar! The ROM is outstanding!!

You think you can keep your back vertical and chest up instead of this? Or is it due to the amount of weight? If not were you trying to simulate the deadlift movement? I asked this cause I had an idea to use 4 cement blocks to stand on to simulate full range of motion of a squat using the trap bar..

I think the hips rising was just due to trying to start my hips in too low of a position where I was not strong. Once I got my hips into a position where they were strong and inline with my back, they seemed to rise at about the same pace as my shoulders. I do really love deficit pulls though, with lighter weights, this is a total quad annihilator!

I would suspect so. That leg drive right out of the bottom mimics a deep squat pretty good!
