I was going into a large bld, in Houston Tx that had a bank on the 3rd floor. I was entering through the loading dock area, As I pulled up I noticed a armored Truck and they had a pull behind dolly thing loaded really high with White bags loaded with cash, I didnt think much of it. As I was going through some twists and turns to get to the elevator I went around a corner and I see one of those bags just lying in the hall way. By the feel of the bag I could tell it was bundled bills, and alot of them. I picked it up and went up to the bank, and just walked in and placed it on the counter and said I think your delivery man just lost this. Everyone's was so surprised, the delivery guys didnt know what to say. What did I get for my honesty. Zero, not even a thank you. To this day I believe honesty is the best policy. Its what you do when nobody looking that makes you the person you are. But I have to say I still wonder how much money was in that bag :)

Hey about 1 year ago the bank here in Canada made a huge mistake. When i went into the bank as i first went to the bank machine i pulled out about 4000.00 and it came out in a few 50s and rest was all 20s it was a huge wad that i couldnt get my wallet to close so i ended up going to the teller in the bank to exchange into larger bills. What the teller did by a mistake put in a 6 instead of a 4 so was being 6000 not 4000 and the machine spit out 6000 in 100 dollar bills i was chatting with her not paying attention to her count when she counted to money to me and then i left the bank i still couldn't close my wallet so the money went into a envelope.it was the next day i headed to the city to meet soneone about purchasing a car and i was just going to hand the money to the guy and go on my way but i started to count it out and relized i had 2000 more than i should have i thought maybe i just miscounted and counted again. I even had my wife count it and the sake numbers and then i realized the bank made a error now by law i didnt have to give the money back but i was raised a whole lot different that it would be immoral and just wrong to keep the money and went to the bank as u was at the Line up in the bank i got a call saying they made a error and asked if i could come into the bank to discuss a banking error.i told them i am already way head of them as i said i was in the Line up there at the bank and said i know what this is all about . And am returning the money. When i went to the bank they were shocked at my honestly as they even said i didn't have to return the money as they made the error they were just hoping i would be honest enough to return it. When i was upbto the teller i told them i was raised by my mom and i told them i have morals and honesty and i know i didn't earn this money so why would i keep. I said i could keep it but wasnt raised like that l. I then said before i return the money to you i want a written agreement that when i give this money i do not want to see the teller punished in any way not written up or docked hours or fired as this was only human to make a mistake i then said if she does get punished. After this agreement is agreed upon i will go to the press. Anyhow i ended going off track the bank said because of my honesty and my caring for the teller as they never expected any of this from me they gave me a reward of 250.00 for my honesty and my caring for the tellers well being i did not take the 250 u refused it but they insisted i take something so i agreed upon 100.00. I told them i am only being honest and i should not be rewarded for giving back something that never belonged to me in the 1st place

Another time, me and my Dad lived together in Tampa, Fla, in the early 60s, he was a pilot , for Delta, and was mostly gone, so when his check would come in the mail, he showed me how to endorse it and make out a deposit and take it to the bank. So one time I filled everything out and took it to the night deposit, one of those big metal opening trays things. It was around 3 am, when I went. When I opened the tray there was a bag with the name of one of Tampa's largest bar /restaurant , this was on Sunday night, Monday morning (3am) , the bag had not gone down the chute, and I thinking it was all the money for that weekend, and it was really full, I just pushed it down, closed the tray, and reopened it, and it was gone. And this was before cameras. And your correct, walking into that Bank with a bag full of their money, Did feel good, and in a strange way it still does.

The Golden Rule-----"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Everything you bring in for sale is heartwarming to see as you are preserving history with every find. Your compassion and passion are a personal testament that there really are wonderful people populating this planet. You are your own kind of hero. The pickers of this world are also heroes--let him know that there is someone in the US who thinks he has a very important and noble job! Am always excited to see a post from you and this is one of the best--good research!! Glad this was saved!

I watched these videos out of order, first the one where you look for him, then the one where you send him home, raise money and now this... lol but great time either way, makes me happy to see people get help, I am in a rough position and try as I might can’t get out of it. Things are getting worse each week but I am doing whatever I can do to get things looking up- and stories like that make me happy because I started young in poverty, worked hard and did well for many years.. then I had children and working while being a single mom got too difficult add in some health issues and life becomes unbearable, however seeing that people still care helps, I don’t want my children to grow up without knowing it exists :)
