The 3FUL Gear Taiji 1 caught my eye as a possibly ideal Autumn solo tent at a budget price so I reached out to James at Camperlists to see if they would provide me with one to try. Here's my first impressions of what could be another 3f UL Gear future classic? Plus a possible hack to upgrade its performance.

Like the look of this Andrew , ticks a lot of boxes . You could use the Wild Sky Gear stick on guy outs to mod they are for DCF but the also bond with other materials . I have seen people modding their OEX Bobcat tents by adding two pullouts at the back . Nice video🖖

Nice 1 Mr P 😊 Will be interesting to see how it copes with stronger wind right enough, I’ve had it out in around 20mph ish and it fared well. Good shout there with the walking pole mod. Cheers! 👍🏻

Brilliant wee tent for the money. I like that hack with the walking poles if the weather was to pick up drastically at night, not like your gonna chose this tent to heaf out in a storm. Cracking vid, cheers andrew👍🏻

I like the look of that tent. I am wondering if this could be my new OEX bobcat 1 with luxury sleeping space. Love the bobby but it is snug but is withstood some strong winds.

The carry bag is probably has taped seams too? If that's the case it's a great general purpose weatherprooof stuff sack for more than just the tent. Hence, longer straps than you think are needed??

No it's got fixed straps for carrying like a shopping bag as well as the compression straps so I cut the fixed straps off, abso no point 😁

Mesh on the vents is there to stop bugs going out, not in.

Looks like good head room …..i like that they copied msr bag style so much easier to pack and unpacked

I don’t like the way the guy lines fix directly to those poles at all, and the whole thing looks kind of flimsy to me! Plus (again) no double zip on the outer door, sorry I don’t like it at all.. Think I’ll be sticking with my 950g Lanshan-1 Plus over this new 3-FulGear inferior product. And my trusty Vango Nexus UL-2, which is the same weight as this new 1-man shelter, and has two doors each with two-way zips…👍🏻
