@ma70r96 Жыл бұрын
Hey, I had my exhaust made at a local exhaust shop custom for my car. If you wanna know the recipe so you can get something similar its a twin 2.5 inch exhaust with a balance pipe somewhere in the middle, 2x electric cutouts facing out both sides of the car in front of the rear tyres, 2x flowmaster 40 mufflers going out the back when the cutouts are closed. Headers are 4-1 long tubes. Keen to hear it in a video when you get it done!
@muhammedselbibeg3472 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Sounds sick. Quick question. I'm building something similar and have been told the remote controlled exhaust valves end up getting stuck due to exhaust heat and eventually dont open or close. Have you experienced this? do they make a significant difference in volume (Cops and neighbours in my mind) and which brand did you use. Thank you in advance
@ma70r962 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out my vid! I haven't experienced exhaust valves getting stuck due to heat but I did however have one go faulty in the past with the wiring because the first ones I installed were cheap off ebay and I took a chance. I bought some higher quality ones after that and they have been working awesome every time. They open and close much faster now and also seal off the pipes much tighter than before so they wont leak. The difference in volume comes down to what mufflers you choose for your car. The ones im running on mine are still not that tame because they are designed to sound cool and take that edge off but yes they are still heaps softer than straight pipes. If you want dead silent than you can always run a really bulky muffler/mufflers after the cutouts and when you press the switch it will still be as loud as you want.

@@craigshelswell8844 Not sure about the super 40's but most run the original 40's on their own without any other mufflers. @@tiarnanvanosch2120 Not too sure how he got it done on the right side but he said when he did it that it wasn't too much trouble getting it to look like it was twin pipes from factory. @@Fulltiltauto Haha cheers. I'd love to see some vids of yours posted up once its done. Are you completely decided on if you wanna run a solid or a hydraulic cam in yours? What heads are you planning on running? I wanted to make mine as hassle free as possible and have it on the road as much as possible so I went with a decent sized hyd cam and went big enough right now so that I can get some good use out of some fancy heads later down the track. Mine is a bit over cammed for stock heads currently and would make a bit more power with a smaller bump stick with the stock ones but heads will wake it up. Dont get me wrong though it is not doughy or anything right now just a bit big for what those heads currently flow

Thanks! I almost completely restored the whole car apart from the visual things. Mechanically its basically brand new but better. If I could tally up just my motor it would be around $10000 in parts and the labour for machining and assembly added a fair bit more ontop but I did however get everything done professionally rather than doing it myself. If you wanted to replicate my engine and do most of it yourself you could definitely do it for around 10 grand or cheaper if you sourced some cheaper parts or only replaced things that are absolutely essential. I used all the top name brand gear and changed everything

@ma70r965 жыл бұрын
Haha Thanks. As you can probably tell from the vid I have the option to run it through the flowmaster 40 series mufflers and when I click the button I can open valves that bypass the mufflers and run them raw straight through. Its a twin 2.5 inch exhaust with no cats and about halfway down the system the pipes kiss to balance the note/pulses to smooth the deal out. Cam is a crane H304 which is their biggest hydraulic cam they have for the holden V8

@@swatunit4 Are you stroking it or keeping it 304ci? this cam in a 355 is very happy on the street. Pulls hard from basically nothing and keeps going all the way to 6200RPM. Only reason I'm not revving it higher is the stock heads dont breathe enough after that and are holding it back a bit. I drive this car more than my other cars and can report that it's super friendly for everyday use. Loud though when the pipes are opened but thats the way it should be haha

Hey, Exhaust is twin 2.5 inch with electronic valves that can route the exhaust out the back through the mufflers or out the sides which is straight through bypassing the mufflers. Its all custom made so unfortunately you cant by this system off the shelf but I'm sure most exhaust shops could make you something similar.
