You don’t understand why Hybrid technology is not very popular in India? There is no public reluctance in India; instead, there is politics behind the high cost and GST on hybrids. Hyundai, Tata, and Mahindra do not offer hybrid technology in India, so they maintain high GST to prevent other hybrid players from making sales. This is a fact, believe it or not. A hybrid vehicle is highly suitable for Indian buyers in terms of fuel efficiency.

Haan haan hum indian swarthi hai budget me gaadi dekhne ke liye aur sarkar swarthi nahi hai jo tax kam nahi karrahi (although up gov decided to not take road tax on strong which is good decission hopefully the will listen to nitin gadkari ji too) aur freebies dene me no 1 hai jo tax payer ka paisa hai use muft me baat do sahi me sarkaar ko boht sochna padta hai environment aur pachas cheeze par hum indians swarthi hai bilkul sahi kaha aapne

Amit Ji, 1 KW bijli bnane k liye kita coal burn hota hai and us coal se kitna pollution hota hai?. 25 kwh battery charging would produce 22.5 kg CO2 from coal for a range of 200 km. Petrol produces 23 kg CO2 per 10 liters for range of 150-200 km depending on the engine type. Pure EV k liye electricity jab tak renewable sources se nahi banegi tab tak EV is not a great option. Your comment required.

Right. And additionally what about pollution created by mining of heavy metals used in manufacturing EV Batteries - should be taken into account. Sir, don't only think about reducing emissions in cities.... any where you mine heavy metals or produce electricity using thermal power will contribute to global worming.

कोई व्यक्ति गाड़ी लेता है EMI से तो ब्याज 11.5% पड़ता है इस हिसाब से 4 लाख ka व्याज 4000 Rs महीना का होता हैं और 70% लोग 4000 rs का पेट्रोल भी पर महीना नहीं डलवाता गाड़ी में। हर हर महादेव।

CNG is very dangerous. It was govt model for cheap fuel but Adani took over and made it as costly as diesel. Engine reliability also is not great CNG.

EVs are subsidised and come in many choices, yet their sales are stagnating. Hybrids have had few choices and virtually no subsidies, yet their sales are rising. The market has spoken. It’s about time the experts listened to them too rather than OEMs, EU or themselves. EV slowdown is not only due to price, but other customers reservations about them like. charging anxiety (overnight charging outside home), range anxiety (quickly falling and fluctating range, software issues and need for planning long trips due to lack of proper and adequate charging infra) and above all, the clash of an EV car with a customer’s way of life. People in metros are increasingly staying in apartments with limited charging points per society, if at all. Where’s the question and logic of seeking FAR approvals to make more? Are we going to eat up park spaces and green area spaces to do the same? That would be counterproductive. Our big cities and societies are simply not made to accomodate PCV EVs on a big scale, but that’s where a bulk of the target market stays so there’s disconnect. Moreover, many Indians work jobs where it isn’t possible to keep car stranded for charging (eg. sales jobs/business/WFH) at workplace. Besides, why should employer bear the costs or provide the infra? They may as well buy electric/CNG chartered buses to ferry employees at lower cost. Hybrids allow Indian car users to use our current infrastructure with minimal wastage and create efficiencies to meet the purported climate goals than topple the whole apple cart to chase an arbitrary ideal, which may well just take us from one lobby to another. The most value EVs have is nuisance value.

Actually everyone's priorities are different and in some countries early adopter have already brought their 1st ev already rest don't need 2nd car and not find suitable for their requirements with multiple reasons some you have already mentioned... A recent study by the engineering students of IIT Kanpur showed that Evs r more polluting than hybrid in the long running especially at times when these electric vehicles are scrapped as they emit a lot of green houses gases as compared to scraping of gasoline engine cars

Battery manufacturing alone causes a lot of pollution. Moreover for charging EV we need massive electricity which again causes massive pollution. As per studies, an EV vehicle on day one has already caused 70% of pollution as compared to petrol-Diesel vehicle.

Polution karane ke alava Crude oil import hota karana padata hai jisne foreign exchange ge lagata hai. Government ko aisi policy (subsidy etc.) implement karan chahiye ki ev car bhi petrol car ke price me milana chahiye. Petrol car samay martada me production bhi band Kar Dena hoga. Log khud ev ki taraf sift honge. Jisase government ko foreign exchange bachane se Desh atmanirbharata ki taraf teji se badhega.

EV most problem is range and charging infrastructure on highways. i guess it is sole reason people may not consider an EV. And hence they are turning towards hybrid.. as simply they also want to support govt initiative regarding pollution and avoid pure petrol /diesel cars. so it would be win-win for both govt and consumers if more hybrid cars are produced and with less price tag. so that it can be an interim solution for next 5-6 years until EV range and infra is fully available for highway usage..

Mostly vw cars don't have great AC for hot countries like India. But hyryder or Grand vitara also failed to cool cabin due to large panoramic sunroof...my advice buy these cars without sunroof.

Carwale Guruji, 1. A person who runs a channel called CarGURU should not make comments promoting EV and dissing ICE or Hybrids without sharing proper facts. 2. Most of our electricity is made by burning fossil fuels - hence there is no reduction in carbon footprint - This is a well known fact and all self-proclamined GURUs should know this 3. As soon as Lithium mines were discovered in Ladakh and handed over to a particular businessman, prices of petrol/diesel started going up and there was push towards EVs. 4. What is the environment impact of disposing LITHIUM? Have you considered it? 5. Is there an EV infra in the country to go for a EV vehicle today? 6. Most new ICE vehicles have very little carbon footprint because of the good engines and cleaner fuels. 7. Is there a study done to prove that an EV is better than an ICE/Hybrid? There are many proving ICE/Hybrids are better. 8. How many hours of load-shedding do non-tier1 cities face? Do we have enough electricity to charge all electric cars? Even USA does not have this much electricity. 9. STOP PROMOTING ELECTRIC - THIS IS PURE PROPAGANDA TO PUSH ELECTRIC CARS - TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH.

Government ki 10-15 saal wali policy jab bounce back maaregi na to company ka bhatta baithna tay h. Pahle Me apni car 5 saal me change karta tha kyu ki valuation sahi mil jaati thi ab wo valuation nhi mil rahi. To me new car ka plan hi cancel kar diya mere jese or bhi honge. To kuchh year me car sale to down hogi hi.

बड़ी पेट्रोल एसयूवी जैसे स्कॉर्पियो ,हरियर, सफारी जैसी गाड़ियों में पेट्रोल हाइब्रिड का फ्यूचर हो सकता है क्योंकि डीजल एसयूवी तो सिर्फ 10साल के लिए ही रजिस्टर होती है जोकि बहुत कम है

why only consumer is responsible for environment safety, government also is more responsible for environment pollution 1st government wants everyone to shift to EV but before making any policy government has to work 5 years before on infrastructure building. if charging stations are more available than petrol station why anyone wants still go to ICE engine why government is not making mandatory for every new petrol bunks to have charging stations and CNG along with petrol diesel, why government is giving permission for new petrol bunks instead give permission for only CNG and EV charging stations. in my view before jumping to EV directly Hybrid is more sense reduce tax on hybrid vehicle

I beg to differ with your view that Govt will only promote Electricity cars . I want to say Hybrid is much better option in electric starved country . Who says that EV does not create pollution….. pollution while sourcing lithium battery is very high and how do we produce electricity by coal so again more pollution as compared to IEC

Sir EV sey bhi pollution kam nahin hoga filhaal. Rare eart metals, Lithium etc ki extraction kaisey hoti hai woh bhi consider kariyee. Phir maximum electricity coal sey manufacture hoti hai. We aren't energy surplus nation yet. So, EV's ko large success mushkil sey hi milegii humaarey yahaan. Baaki Tata aur Mahindra ki EV's koi normally consider nahin karegaa. Tata key liye toh charger mein earthing key liye bhi provision karna padta hai. Abhi fast charging par bhi kaafi kaam karnaa padegaa warna emergency usage key liye primary car kabhie ban nahin paayegii EV

अगर सरकार कोई सब्सिडी नहीं देगी तो हम भारतीय पेट्रोल cng और डीजल ही चलाएंगे हाइरेडर और ग्रैंड विटारा पर 43%gst लेती है जो कि 28% कर दें और रजिस्ट्रेशन में कुछ छूट दें तो 3 से 4 लाख घट जाएगा और फिर ह्याइब्रिड ही दिखेंगी

Use less features ke liye 5/10 Lakh jyada kharcha karenge lekin hybrid me 2/3 lakh jyada nahi dena, use less features - sunroof, Power adjust seats, auto head light,auto wifer, head on display, connecting tail light, connecting DRL, airodynamic door handle -(120 ki speed me airodynamic handle ki kya jarurat hai?)

Bhai sahib we not only bear additional cost of minimum 4lakh at the time of purchasing and more 4lakh for battery replacement...you didn't cover this cost...it's really very costly..

जिस hydrogen के आप सपने देख रहे हैं...उस से चलने वाली 1 भी कार आजतक manufacture ही नहीं हुयी है, अभी तक testing ही नहीं हो पायी है, fuel cell car actually electric car होती है.. अभी सालों लगेंगे और petrol से भी ज्यादा expensive होगी चलाना

Amit ji is right. Besides, uska infra parallel hoga aur ready nahin hai. Electric ka at least grid taiyyar hai. Hydrogen tanks bhi bahut bade hote hain toh car mein store karna bhi issue hai. Distant future mein heavy goods carrying vehicles mein dekha ja sakta hai, jaise trailers. PCV segment se uska matlab nahin.

EV की गाड़ियों में बैट्री पैक को 2 पार्ट में लगाना चाहिए। एक बैट्री से चले तो दूसरी पैक चार्ज होगी और जब दूसरी पैक से चले तो पहली बैट्री पैक चार्ज हो। ऐसा कर के रेंज को बढ़ाया जा सकता है।

@@prabhjitsinghbal hybrid में छोटी बैट्री होती है और एक इंजन भी जबकि मैं कुछ और बोल रहा हूं। EV की ही बैट्री को दो भाग में करने की बात कर रहा हू जो खुद ही बारी बारी से अपनी बैट्री को लगातार चार्ज करती रहे। इससे अभी मिलने वाली रेंज से ज्यादा रेंज मिलने लगेगी या दो गुना भी रेंज दे सकती है।

Why Automaker not introduce hybrids tech. For small cars or hatchbacks? After all this technology morethan 20 years old.यह लोग हैचबैक यानी छोटी गाड़ियां में हाइब्रिड क्यों नहीं ला रहे हैं 😅 वैसे भी यह टेक्नोलॉजी 20 साल पुरानी है तो हैचबैक या छोटी गाड़ी में आनी चाहिए
