You spoke about fake chords, reminding me that 7, or maybe 8 years ago, you asked did I know what a fake chord was. I had no clue. Since then I have bought, or borrowed from a library. sheet music books with fake chords. Thanks for your help. Len (from Ontario Canada)

Hi Len! The term is Fake Books. They are books that don't have a written bass line, but just chord symbols written above the melody that your left hand can play. These chords are standard chords, nothing fake or altered about them. All that is "FAKE" about a fake book is that there is no bass staff. Hope that is clear?! Thanks for your comment :) Have a great summer!
