Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to go travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling, and we didn’t want to stop after just one year! After achieving our new goal of 100 countries and then all 7 continents (check out our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY , we had no plans to slow down, until 2020 decided to force us to ;) which is when we bought a converted Sprinter van to start exploring our own country for the first time. #Vanlife was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

It took me 3 years to climb the height of Mt. Everest, according to my Fitbit. I'm working on my second climb. I'm hoping to make it somewhere in between 24 hours and 3 years this time. I'm inspired by this video. Today I bought a set of walking sticks and hiked a hill nearby. Kara and Nate's climbs were 1750 feet in an hour. I made 500 feet in an hour, but only part of the hike was steep. I need to find bigger hills and get to work.

@@user-lz5vh9bb5w The highest hill near me is around 700 feet up, so I'll have to climb it over 40 times. I'm probably around 1/5 there since the last time I hit 29,000 feet elevation total. And I just got the "Pole to Pole" badge -- walking 12,500 miles in the years since I've had a Fitbit: the distance from the North Pole to the South Pole. It makes for a fun game to have these targets to reach while enjoying my walks.

I had tears in my eyes when you completed the challenge and Kara was getting emotional. It is funny how close you can feel to people that you've never met in real life and how proud you can feel of them for pushing themselves so that they find out how strong they really are. Nate mentioned the mountain biking in Colorado as the first time attempting something that he didn't feel he could finish but I think Kara also found that she was also capable of so much more than she thought during that challenge; driving the van on her on and being an amazing support system for Nate by taking care of EVERYTHING else so that he could achieve something amazing. Most boundaries are self-imposed and you both are so inspirational and constantly show all of us what incredible experiences lie just on the other side of those supposed boundaries.

"Are we gonna freeze to death tonight?" "No, because we can snuggle!" You two are so cute moving your cots together. "Look at you! You are HAPPY happy!" I love Kara's joy and enthusiasm. And yay for Nate's waffles! Colleen "Worlds Best Hype Girl" was hilarious! She seems like so much fun! Hey, a big bonus, since you're burning so many calories with that hiking, those snacks you get to try won't stick to your butts, lol. That tub of Ben and Jerry's and the disco gondola looked so good. I adore the hype and party vibe of the summit each time you make it to the top. The music and the fun atmosphere and the volunteers cheering you on seems like a good way to achieve that little extra boost. "Future me loves past pain" is a great mantra, just lets you remember that when this is all over, you will remember the amazing memories and experiences and achievements more than the exhaustion it took to get there. I will try this when I'm feeling down. I am so proud of both of you for finishing this entire trek together, you deserve the hell out of that red carpet and those red hats! I can feel Kara's relief and exhaustion and accomplishment in those tears! Congratulations!!!!!

I am so impressed by you guys for the way you’ve kept this channel going - so innovative and so interesting. It actually makes me sad, this social media thing, because I’ve been following you for years and I feel like I know you guys, but at they same time I know that I will probably never actually know you in person. Thanks for all the emotions though - they fortunately are not digital but real :)

I hope I can do this event someday. I have multiple sclerosis and I went from being wheelchair bound, to walking with my cane, to almost exclusively walking unassisted. It has been a long trial of failed DMDs, physical therapy, and mental/physical pain. I've gotten a lot of negative words thrown at me, especially since I've began walking unassisted, because I do not "look" sick, whatever that look is supposed to be.. people just assume I am lazy and taking advantage while I am fighting my own immune system to keep myself alive. You've both been a huge inspiration for me during these trying times I can always count on Kara if I need a laugh or smile. Thank you for sharing your lives with us. ❤️

Twerky, congrats! What have you done to achieve this? I have MS, am 60 yrs old and have been largely sidelined for the past 2 years. It’s the fatigue that gets me.

@@oldstuffbethtx8052 Thank you! I started Ocrevus in 2017 when it first came to market and have been on it since. I was diagnosed with RRMS when I was 19, I am now 29. I give a lot of credit for my improvements to Ocrevus but I have also done years of physical therapy and exercises independently at home. I have CFS and my neuro prescribed me Vyvanse to combat it. I started off with bloodwork that my PCP ordered to get a CFS diagnosis to be certain my fatigue was not being caused by anything unknown. I definitely suggest talking to someone, whether its your PCP or Neuro. :)

I would love to do 29029 one day but... It costs twice as much as I'm paying to hike actual Kilimanjaro, including my roundtrip flights so, uh. It feels like an insane cost for what it is.

My coworker just told me about this and sent me the link. I looked up the price and I agree with you. It is insanely expensive. I did my first Ironman in Lake Placid this year and I could do 4 of those for the price of this. Hiking Kilimanjaro sounds awesome!!!
