I was in Alaska in 2007. Beautiful. I didn't see any bears but I did see moose and eagles.

Went to an eagle bay and saw a bunch of eagles. Super cool. No moose. Saw some seals though 🙂

Thank you for watching! 🐻 There's a non-360 version in the description, but I think the 360 cameras are so cool!

Yogy Bear! We really enjoyed flying to Juno to go on a smaller nature cruise through the Glacier Bay region.

@@Theretirementnerds we did it the year I turned 50 & retired as way to celebrate 🎊 briefly before heading off into the next exciting phase of our lives. A small ship with 100 passengers is the way to go!

Erik, I hope you get to see a bear. I love your new “toy.” 360 degrees is cool on my iPad - can also tilt up and down as well as pan horizontally.

Thank you! It's so cool! I use it everywhere now haha! You can also swipe with your finger rather than turning your tablet 😏

It is very interesting that we don't have Advantage plans available here. From watching your videos (and others) I had already decided I wanted to go with a supplement plan when I signed up for Part B at 70 when I retired. Maybe if I had researched Advantage plans I would have found that they aren't available here. It is interesting that our Supplement population ratio isn't much different than the average considering Advantage plans are not an option. Neat 360 view video! I was looking for bears but didn't see any... But I've seen a lot of them in our yard, often with cubs. A bear did break in the door one night but it was the door to the gardening equipment storage so it didn't get in the house.

That's wild! A bear in your yard! Alaska is different, haha 🐻

Haha, made it to Alaska! Now ya really have to get to Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islans, and American Samoa! Da Bears! But they never played in Alaska, I don't believe. Is there any way to kind of swag a list of the top maybe 10 states to be in for Medicare / Supplement Plans? I understand that the high population / large city areas typically have strong Advantage Plans, and the more sparsely populated states are basically mostly only Supplement Plans..

@ph5915 you read my mind... working on a couple videos like that 🙂

After your trip, a suggestion, how about a video for those turning 65 and not yet taking Social Security? An added twist, I've been doing Roth conversions to near the top of the 24% bracket. Being in good health, I expect to be focusing on plans that have lots of "rewards" and I don't need a prescription plan. I can Bear-ly wait to see what you come up with!

Hi there! The video about those 65 and not taking SS... do you mean their Medicare choices? Or when they should take SS?
@hogroamer2602 ай бұрын
@Theretirementnerds Just Medicare insight. I expect to take S.S. at 67 or hopefully 70. I'm in excellent health and longevity in my family. Also, to leave my wife with a higher benefit should I go first.

@Theretirementnerds Thank you! I don't have Insurance, just CHM, so I have to go on Medicare or be penalized. I guess I'll look for an agent in Florida. I have 11 months to go, or by the end of 2025 I believe(?).
