The brick-faced kitchen at 0:32 really caught my eye. -- with an aging Boomer population, should we expect to see more wall mounted ovens, ADA design, etc.? I'm a Boomer and realize my back has limits when lifting casseroles, etc. from my oven. Overall, a multitude of gorgeous kitchens!

OceanSwimmer excellent point, and how about how much the Kitchen Aid mixer weighs?!

Hi! I think we will see more advancements in ergonomic design. I'm a german kitchen designer and work on the east coast. Germans emphasize a lot on keeping ergonomics in mind for a healthy body and incorporate it quite a bit!

Really do not like open shelving. Too much work to keep cleaning and organized. Also it is not safe for earthquake California.

Too much open shelving... a trend that is rightfully on it’s way out. Not practical, not enough storage! Didn’t really see any new ideas.

kitchens are expensive to redo-none of this would be worth the cost and will not trend long-to typecast already-I want to go back to real wood-no more fake wood-what is this the 60's-reminds me of paneling. No more bleached out kitchens. No more kitchens with "0" storage. No good ideas anywhere

Hi Marcy, I'm a kitchen designer and we have been seeing a lot of our clients wanting more wood. A really nice trends we are seeing too are lighter woods with solid stains. Hope this helps!

Hmmm...would have been readable if you'd have put in proper punctuation and syntax. As it is, this reads like a bowl of overcooked mush (and I meant that as hyperbolic redundancy, much like the blather you chose to express).
