Finally, a realistic makeover for people who don’t have massive houses. I wish the client had agreed to the blue instead of green, but the entire condo looks fab. The kitchen and bathroom in particular are fantastic! I also love the wallpaper in the bedroom.

This is honestly one of the best small apartment makeovers that I've ever seen. Not only did Emilia find a way to make the space super functional with added storage, she somehow managed to open up all the areas and make it seem so much larger than it did initially. I absolutely love the aesthetic of the forest green wall, the wallpaper in the bedroom, and the stark white entertainment unit with the built in room for the additional seating to get it out of the way, was a stroke of brilliance. I think what I love most is that it still feels like the place is a reflection of her client - in other words, it isn't bland and boring like a lot of modern builds or designs. I love that the wood used throughout is different yet complementary and that there are still hints of personal taste - when Emilia said, "the space is calm and serene but also a reflection of her personality" that is the absolute perfect way to sum up the makeover. My mind is seriously blown!

There's a lot you can do on a budget :factory direct kitchen stuff is way cheap, or just a paint job, or contact paper as stop gap til you can afford new worktops etc. New t bar handles for my kitchen were £1.09 each online & bought it right up to date. Changing dark furniture with white paint & swapping dark accessories for lighter etc makes a massive difference re making it feel spacious. Offcuts of lino for small spaces are also mega cheap online.

But I think what most people here are talking about is carefully designed make over with quality craftsmanship and good (not necessarily top-of-the-line) materials that will last a decade or more.

AMAZING! The wow factor, is this small space has become DIVINE! What space there is has been MAXIMIZED by the way it is now layed and out utilized, and by the awesome usefulness and perfection of what was used in each space. This attention to detail, is it something you must be a House and Home designer to manage? I think so! I don't see a hole strategically cut into the glass so she can turn on the water without first getting wet (from cold water)...saw it in another KZbin video and thought it was a terrific idea. Now, speaking from experience....I appreciate the hole and don't have to get blasted by cold water. Loved this little place! The restyling issues were rather small but had a huge impact, particularly the paint color choices. Nicely done.
