Do you ever have a grumpy day? You allays seem so upbeat and respectful and willing to work with anything. that comes your way. You are defiantly inspirational and I am always amazed on how you just take things as the come and not let the little things in life effect your daily outlook. NICE..

love watching your videos Dan. although you work harder than i ever did, throwing tarps, etc. i still like watching your videos, seeing all the trucks and the places you go to. some, i remember going to, some have never been there. truck stops, that is. i was mostly refrigerated, but did pick up aluminum rolls, and booze. preferred reefers over vans. although noisey at times, i felt reefers were slightly heavier than vans.

When i was on the road.... i hated the CB. Hardly used the thing. To many drivers wanting to pick a fight with other drivers. Saw many fighting in the parking lot. Reminds me of the prison yard i currently work at. Always someone fighting somone, if not stabbing each other.

Dan, do you have "Truckin By My Way" numbers. I think I'd enjoy running the way you like to run also. I don't mind a good drive every once in awhile but daily.... naw. I think I'd like the way you run better. Keeps you movin and talking to people daily which i like. Interaction with people is needed in my world. If there is numbers to stick by that you have, (without knowing your numbers of course) but something to live by for a good foundation, maybe this will be how I come back to play in the trucking field. 24ish months to go and i can rejoin the 18 wheeler club. Thanks, Paul C West Sacramento, CA

Great video! I maybe wrong but I thought with a 48’ trailer you were allowed 1’ off the front and 4’ off the rear. 👍
@neilshaneotts16094 жыл бұрын
I was wrong! Maverick just teaches it that way because of our headache racks. 53’ product on a 48’ trailer. So, I guess it is up to the driver on how they load it safely.

Dan please explain how doing short distance loads pays as good as long haul? I'm thinking these short runs make for lots of idle time I.E. tarping, loading -unloading, waiting in line. Thanks

I'm leased to the same company and some of the best money I've made was on short haul but I was worn out way to much work and I don't tarp.

Dan, Really enjoy your're video's. I am planning on going owner op in a year and i was thinking of trying Mercer. The question i have is: Does Mercer allow Conestoga trailers and is it worth it it to even have one. I will be buying my truck and trailer at the end of this year and that info would really be useful in the shopping process. Keep up the good work!

And here I thought you loved going home to Teresa. Boy, is she going to surprised by this video :) Would a 53' trailer help get loads? And would you look at one when it's time for a new trailer?
@johnnyfair4 жыл бұрын
The music climaxed once when you bumped the dock. It climaxed again when the second pack hit the trailer deck. I don’t know jack about editing videos. Was that on purpose? Keep ‘em coming. Love your vlogs.
