I’ve been to that Alcoa plant many times but to pump off rolling oil. It’s a cooling and lubrication oil used making those rolls of aluminum. The oil comes from a Calumet solvent refinery in Cotton Valley LA

Man i did that same VA load this last year and thought the exact same thing you did that i was gonna get that grating and it was gonna destroy my tarps. Was happy to see the boxes but i felt super bad for the kid loading me. It was like his first week on the fork lift and he was doing pretty good then the entire management team came out and stood there watching him him load me. Poor kid. I put a good word in with his bosses that he did just fine loading me.

I commend you for doing all your maintenance on your truck and keeping it up. But change that Air Filter ever 50000 miles and $60.fuel is a special design filter for the fuel system on their truck and they have a patent on their filter that’s why it’s $60 diesel /truck mechanic 35 years worked on Peterbilt for 20 years keep on the good work and take care of that girl

On the two (2) Aluminum Coil Delivery, could they have either A. Made that Garage Door Opening Larger or B. Gave you a Shoe Horn to help you get the Trailer inside ? 🤪 The 2nd location where the single Big Coil was loaded had a much larger garage door opening. 👍

Hey Dan, great videos, I love them! I’ve been driving for about 2 years now and I’m from Canada, we don’t use spread axles in the majority of our provinces. I believe Ontario is the only province that recognizes them as an axle configuration. In the western provinces our DOT only allows 20,000 pounds total if the axles are spread. That being said, we use trailers that are capable of spreading the axles so once I cross the boarder if I’m over 34,000 pounds on my trailer axles or my drives I will spread my axles. My question for you is how to properly manage a spread axle configuration? I have learned some things along the way but I’m curious how to save the tires on the front most axle. The majority of our trailers I find the tires on the front axle to be in poor shape. I feel I do a good job of maintaining their tread but sometimes it’s hard not to take sharp turns with the trailer. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I love your videos when I’m on my days off!
