That’s a nice size succulent planter! And the color is cool… because when you do the succulents… it will be better that the pot is more of a solid color. Of course this is just my opinion. …and I like you can see the other colors peeking through)…

If you wait until your resin thickens up a bit before pouring them all in your dirty pour cup, you'll see more striations and more defined colors in the finished piece. This is quite lovely as is, though.

Hey Michelle, have you thought of using a split cup for your dirty pour. That might keep the colors more defined. Anyway, this did come out pretty nice!

That mica sounded gritty...i bet some alcohol (like a few drops) mixed in the powder before you add to resin would break it down more. But then those speckles would not happen then. Yeah, terracotta red takes over big time in anything. You only need like 1/4 of that color making the color that gets lost be the most in volume you add. Live and learn but it was still great! Thanks!! Smiles and blessings...

Really pretty, very earthy. The bubbles make it more rustic, it is too bad the sediment of colour particles will be covered up as they are cool 😎. You could hear how “gritty” those colours were while you were mixing. It would make a good bowl all on its own, but I’m excited to see the succulents take shape. The only way not to have the sediment in your succulents would be to strain it while or before you pour. Then again I think it will add to the plant’s beauty, so I wouldn’t. I love how you just “go for it” and let us see the results. Most great discoveries were accidents first. ❤ that you are real. ❤

Did you know that you can use dry rice instead of water to get an accurate measurement for the amount of resin needed? It's so easy and much less messy and on top of that you don't have to worry about any water drops leftover or having to dry out your mold for that matter!

Yes but I don’t want the residue from the rice on my molds, I’d feel like I’d need to wash it out regardless 😑

The pot came out pretty, but I personally think that it's a waste of so many colors plus a lot of mixing and pouring and not getting much really other than some pretty speckles and a few subtle colors whilst turning it. So my suggestion, if you all don't mind, 🙂 How about you use that same Terracotta pot color and instead of layering (pouring other paints) why not paint sections of the mold, or even the whole thing if you wanted with translucent colors or muted, subtle etc... Mica powders in certain areas or covering it fully with multi colored Mica? I bet that would come out really nice. I think I'll try it... Though first I need to purchase that beautiful terracotta color!

I would save this for something else as the dirty pour didn’t really work. It’s pretty, but its prettiness will be hidden. Do some eco-pour in the mold. Dirty pours work in eco-pours.
