This is the update following the 37 inch tire fitment video on my 2000 Toyota Tundra.
• 37 Inch Tire Fitment 1...
Reevaluated my wheel and tire set up after blowing up my front differential at Sand Hollow. Went from Beadlocks and Nittos to SSW and Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP.
Set ups and weights as follows:
Beadlocks 45lbs+Nittos 78lbs=123lbs per corner
SSW 26lbs+Nittos 78lbs=104lbs per corner
SSW 26lbs+MT Baja EXP 70lbs=96lbs per corner
1lbs static weight=8lbs rotational weight
Overall -27lbs of static weight or -216lbs of rotational weight.
Can’t say that’s 100% accurate but it’s a night and day difference in performance.
Side note, the indentations you see in the tires are Radial wrinkles or creases. I contact MT about that and they assured me that it happens to some of their tires when aired down and not a safety concern unless there is bubbling.

Firewall tub
CMC
Fender aggressive cut
3inch lift fox coilovers with 1.75inch preload
Solo midtravel LCAs
Total chaos UCAs
Total chaos spindle gussets
Customs heim joint steering
Custom uniball LBJ conversion
Total chaos steering rack bushings
4.88 Nitro Gears
ARB front and rear lockers

Glad you talked about the tire and rim weight with bead locks. You can always run like 2 or 3 wraps of ducktape on the outter bead i heard that can work like bead locks or get bead grip wheels both way lighter than beadlocks that use a bunch of bolts snd rings

Well apart from the weight savings, I haven’t spun a tire on a rim as of yet. I’ve aired down to 10psi in some cases just to see. The other factor is I don’t think I carry enough weight to squish the tires so 12-15psi is about where I am for

How did you reinforce rear fenders after cutting?

I havent yet to be honest haha but the plan is to use some 1/4 inch piping and flatten the edges to bolt it up. Ill post a video when i get to it.

Pretty sick… 1. what offset do you need for the right wheel to stop using spacers? 2. were you concerned running load “d” instead of most used “e” for durability purposes?

1) I might have to run offset in the -38mm range since thats what i see most wheel sets come in. 2) Not really since i knew i was sacrificing the load rating for weight savings. I ran the tires through different terrains with the last few runs at about 12-15psi with no issues other than some radial creases. Held up good to being pinched and some jagged rocks.

Hey man Someone told me that 37 is too much for the tundra rear axel. Did you have any trouble?

havent had issues with the rear. pushes 37s around just fine. Its the front you have to worry about in my opinion
